The right is on a roll today. This even mentions the anti Christ. Guns and religion, doesn't get better than this.

"Thus we have the 2nd Amendment. To protect ourselves from a government that is out of control." I think this is very unlikely. The ability to protect ourselves, that is. First, the citizenry is vastly out gunned, out tanked, out planed etc. Second, our country is so divided that it won't be the citizens against the government. It will be ordinary citizens against other ordinary citizens. For example, we can't even agree on how to regionalize public safety services around here. And, when it comes to combining schools and school districts that can completely polarize a region.

Two questions: First, when did the minister make this comment? Second, did the minister ever give examples of when God "did bless this nation according to the course Christians take in politics."?

Individuals are usually sufficiently self centered to believe that God blesses the particular country that individual is loyal to (and condemns the rest).

David, you are so right that it will be a civil war, citizen against citizen, before it is a wholesale coup over the government.

One correction for Mr. Freezer: "Why would we ever elect someone to rule over us who have such an agenda?" We elect people to represent our views. For Bross: "It will be ordinary citizens against other ordinary citizens." Yes. But, by definition, the left side will be so outgunned they will be at a huge disadvantage except for that government represents their views. Pro gunners will be at a huge disadvantage.

Good point, as long as all troops and their leaders remain loyal to those in power. If the military aligns itself with those who reject the taking away of our constitutional rights it could be different. There have been times in history where it is the military who steps in and takes over. And one of their jobs IS to uphold the Constitution.

Not saying it will ever happen, but the possibility is there.

It sounds (more) like an organic-issue...like a Beck-overdose.

In the case of a citizen against citizen conflict in America, I would think that we Americans are as resourceful if not more so than some.of the people we find our military fighting on a pretty regular basis these days. Is it acceptable to any one here for our Government to back enough of our citizens into a corner over basic rights guaranteed by our constitution that will obviously cause open warring between the citizenry? Our best course of action at this point is to proceed witg extreme caution so we don't go down in history as the generation that killed the American dream.

...And, who would know that, better, than those folks who are old-enough to remember "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street"...when such McCarthy-style paranoia was in it's infancy?

Yeah, the American Dream will absolutely be killed as long as we promote weapons designed to kill each other...

At least someone (finally) voiced what better-educated citizens have suspected...that NOT taking-action, against the Obama Admin, just might cost you your place-in-line at the Pearly Gates.

Have you "conservative-psychics" ever considered a full-blown sales-and-marketing effort (on T.V.)...at 3am...where it belongs?

We Libs have always been able to rely-upon our bronze Pentagrams; affixed to our homes' front-doors.

Disclaimer: These Pentagrams WON'T keep Jehovah's Witnesses away, but they DO spook-the-Hell outta "conservative-Christians".
