First if you use a .223 to hunt pheasent your one heck of a marksman, secondly and as normal this liberal doesn't know the .223 is one of the lowest "high powered" rifles used in deer hunting next to the .222 which is normally used to hunt groundhogs.

I hate to tell on myself like this, but I have hunted whitetail deer in Louisiana using a Bushmaster AR 15. It was a very light and comfortable rifle to carry even with a ten round clip, but I still missed when given the opportunity!
