Same old same old

January 27, 2013

A letter from a reader, after the elections, stated that it appears as though the same old voters elect the same old politicians and we have the same old problems....

I found the article, and it's not a quick read, so I'm going to have to save it for after work.

Catch you on the flip side Bobbie-O.

Read this Jerr and get back to me.

The 1929 Stock Market Crash

Harold Bierman, Jr., Cornell University

Pay close attention to actions of your hero John Maynard Keynes.

@Bobbie2

I really am surprised by your choice considering how Coolidge wanted fewer people to pay taxes and you remind us daily that today there are some that do not.

If you will permit me another question, what brought an end to your Coolidge-Utopian dream world?

**Spoiler Alert** It happened on 10/29/1929.

"I'm going to take a guess that you are a Panem guy"

Perhaps living in the real world would serve you better ole Jerr.

Probably the closest to getting it right was Calvin Coolidge.

I'm going to take a guess that you are a Panem guy and that you figure the Capital had it just about right.

Hey man, I have a question for you. Since you've been so vocal about how wrong-headed we are at governing ourselves, how about you tell us who did it right. When/Who/Where in recorded history or even in some imagined or fictitious world did some group of people govern themselves in a way you agreed with?

Who did it right Bobbie? Tell us.

Keynesian economics, ole Jerr, is quite simple to understand. You just steal someone's piggy bank that's not yours.

Would that be the Barney Frank, ole Jerr, that put this country in the terrible financial mess we have?

Another letter complaining about the results of the election when it doesn't turn out the way you like.

If you would like to engage me in a debate on the pros/cons of Keynesian economics, lol please, bring it Bobbie.

I can only guess this is how Barney Frank felt when confronted by Rachel Brown.

"Good old direct foreign aid, always the easy target of the uninformed. A ridiculously small part of the federal budget the feeds the poorest of the poor on earth,"

As usual good ole Jerr has little idea what he's talkin bout, very little foreign aid ever reaches the "poor people". No different than obama stimulus creating jobs.

Marjorie,

Your right..! Over the years I've stated many times that the only way we the people will see change is if one day a majority of Voters realize the only way to make a difference is to remove those that currently control congress.

The Party leaders of both major parties control Congress [ Dem & Rep]. Not the Rank & File... the Leaders...!

Unless we vote for anyone but those Leaders. little will change.

JMT.

PS, pay no attention too the man behind the curtain (CHayes)... neither my vote or your vote or his vote will change anything.

IT TAKES A MAJORITY

Good old direct foreign aid, always the easy target of the uninformed. A ridiculously small part of the federal budget the feeds the poorest of the poor on earth, if it were completely eliminated the savings would allow you to go buy yourself a coffee and a donut ONCE PER YEAR.

"We will never be allowed to vote on the question of term limits"

Sure you can. It's called an election. If you don't like someone, vote against him/her.
