City adds 2 officers

"People are doing what the people in our community aren't doing?" How about most of us are paying the taxes that pay the salaries. Would be nice to add to our tax base. There are enough "good" areas in Williamsport with good housing.People are usually a bit more invested in the area they where they reside. If Williamsport isn't good enough to live in, why should we pay salaries and huge pensions for officers to live in another municipality?

Let's not act like we are in inner-city Philadelphia. Sure there is crime, but considering the economic times and hikes in rental costs I think things could be a lot worse.

More sheltered non city individuals hired to police the city. Williamsport should require it's officers to live in the jurisdiction they police. Bigger cities do it. If Wilpo had this requirement I guarantee there would be more "community policing" and less Nazi style aggression in our neighborhoods.

They don't seem to have a problem in the larger cities with female officers. Wonder why here in PoDunkWilliamsport? Probably the caliber of female and the level of stupidity of the males already on the force! Read between the lines folks!
