pages 246 - 250 reminds me of a neighborhood dog when I was a kid, used to chase his own tail for hours.

Larry Summers tells Orszag, "We are Home Alone. There's no adult in charge. Clinton would never have made these mistakes."
Pretty well sums up the last 4 years

as usual, you are incorrect. Perhaps you should try reading the book yourself, pay particular note to pages 246 - 250. It won't be necessary to cut and paste random quotes that may seem to fit your narrative, I've already read the reviews.

Since Tree is a huge fan of Suskind facts he no doubt agrees with Suskind's revelation that Obama is a financial incompetent in his new book, Confidence Men.

Hi john.. so boring that you felt compelled to respond? Perhaps your time could be better spent reading a first hand account of what transpired, by someone who was in the room, such as the Suskind book referenced below. Then you may be in a position to add something intelligent to the discussion by actually being informed. Try it sometime, you might like it.

SHE??!!!!
All-this-time, I'd assumed it was some 13-year-old home-schooled male.
My mistake. It all becomes much-clearer, now...including the stalking.

Lil' Dumbya was DRIVEN to prove to everyone he wasn't really a Chickenhawk...by "proving" himself (as a war-time President).

Butrev- Your tired repetition of the the Bush Presidency and the Iraq war is just soooooooo boring. Bush AND the Libs and the other intel agencies decided that the intel was accurate and proceeded. No Hate Here!

"A counter-terrorism official who asked not to be named told the Washington Times, "A lot of information [in Suskind's book] is simply wrong." One inaccuracy, this official said, is the book's assertion that Abu Zubaydah, whom the CIA captured in Pakistan in 2002, was not a key al Qaeda figure, and was insane. The counter-terrorism official said Zubaydah is "crazy like a fox" and was a senior planner inside al Qaeda who has provided critical information on how Osama bin Laden's group works."

The One Percent Doctrine by Suskind, 16 words, the Downing Street report.. yep, gw and cheney completely lied, falsified reports and manipulated intelligence in order to invade iraq.. yet, folks on the right feign moral outrage over libya. Complete nonsense, as is par for the course from the party of no..

Tell us Spike why have we not heard from the more than 30 survivors of this incident? We knew within hours what Bin Laden had for breakfast the day he died.

"As Stevens was begging for help after the attack had begun, General Hamm had activated a special forces team within minutes of learning that the embassy, which was really a CIA safe house, was under attack. When General Ham received his “stand down” orders from Obama, he made plans to go ahead with the rescue and was arrested within minutes of contravening he order by his second in command, General Rodriquez. Admiral Gayouette, the commander of Carrier Strike Group Three, was preparing to provide intelligence and air cover for General Hamm’s rescue team in violation of his standing orders and he was promptly relieved of command for allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment.”

Great analogy Spike, the Sandusky/Paterno incident was indeed a direct result of Spanier's ideological precepts put in place at Penn State. The State Department acted on whatever concepts Clinton and obama laid out for them. To think that underlings would think it not important to notify the CEO that the factory was on fire simply exposes your naïveté again or more likely your partisan attempt to protect the scummy administration.

Bobbie - Hard concept here. Is Hillary ultimately responsible for job performance in her agency, yes. Being responsible and knowing are not one in the same. I imagine it's possible you once held a job. If so, did you go directly to the president of the company or the CEO with issues that arose or was their a supervisory chain? Unfortunately little works like a well-oiled machine. If that were so, we would not have spent weeks discussing Sandusky/Paterno.

"Knowing someone is going to be killed is 100 percent liable on her part she is a disgusting old hag and should face the same fate. You don't think those 4 people had family?"
Almost as the attacks occured, theorists began claiming FDR had prior knowledge of the assault on Pearl Harbor. Others have claimed he tricked the Japanese into starting a war with the US as a "back door" way to go to war with Japan's ally, NAZI Germany. Most scholars view Pearl Harbor as the consequence of missed cues, intelligence errors, and overconfidence. Source: FDR Presidential Library and Museum. Perhaps there's just as much, or more, of that going on in today's America as in the 1930's and 40's.

"House Democrats opened Wednesday’s House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing by attacking Republicans for cuts to embassy security funding — cuts that only happened thanks to overwhelming support from House Democrats, including House Oversight Committee Ranking Democratic member Rep. Elijah Cummings. In fact, more House Democrats – 149 of them — voted for the cuts than did House Republicans, of which 147 voted for them."
So another Fido lie exposed.

Laugh out loud at that one.
You need to break the corporate hold of the news media and free it up. I don't care which 'news source' you favor it has been compromised to cover up for politicians and to push an agenda. There are few if any true independent news source media outlets. People get affirmation not information. It happens with all ideologues.
