Excuse me Ms. Vivian Winters, but you obviously have NO CLUE what a pacemaker's affect on one's life can be - more dynamic than you are under the impression of. I have a pacemaker due to an electrical issue within my heart - the leading cause for the need of such a device. Since I've had my pacemaker I have regained the energy and stamina I had slowly lost over time and was unaware of. I would NEVER cast judgement on somebody because they have a device that either saves or even improves their quality of life, such as a pacemaker. I can tell you that before my pacemaker, I would have NEVER attempted to climb Half Dome in Yosemite National Park as I did this past August - after having had my pacemaker for two years at that point and doing something relatively FEW have attempted. Think or learn before you make generalized statements on the health of others due to something they take or have to help them with a condition. Respectfully, Ticking-away-in-PA
