My new hero

February 20, 2013

My new hero, renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson, really tells it like it is. How refreshing to hear a high profile M.D. who is not a sycophant of this administration....

The good doctor is my new hero TOO. Love the phrase in this letter about the king surrounding himself with 'yes men'...how true!

"Emperor Obama" (he actually lamented that he is only President, and not Emperor) absolutely surrounds himself with "yes men".

Read yesterday's Politico article "Obama the Puppet Master" of how this administration treats the media if they do not toe-the-line on positive stories.

I doubt if he'll be invited back for the next National Prayer Breakfast.

Obama looked a little miffed as he was making common sense.

They also owned slaves and raped their children.

I think the Sun should rename the editorial page the "Guns and Jesus" page. Looks to me like we have an overabundance of people "clinging" to a couple things around here.

I should rephrase:

A complicated, progressive tax system prevents slaver and rape!

Liberal stupidity on display, folks!

Most of us prefer guns and Jesus to what you're clinging to. I guess if you had your way it would be more like the Marx and Obama big government page. You seem to forget that your savior claims to be a Christian. Why don't you despise him like you do every other Christian? My savior died for me, would yours do that for you?

Here's an idea, since it's obvious that you've never read the Bible, maybe you should stop telling us what it says. Not a lot of child rape in the Bible. There was some child sacrifice, but God was really unhappy about that and He let it be known. Maybe you're confused and the child rape you were thinking of is those videos on your computer. Shame on you. (If you don't like being accused of something you didn't do, maybe you should stop accusing the Bible and Christians of things they didn't do.)

Prediction - if any of the usual Liberals comment here, none will address what Dr. Carson actually said. They will only repeat the same Liberal talking points making Dr. Carson sound like he was rude to the president or some other tired cliché.

I know, I know - that was too easy to predict. I'll check back later to see if I was right.

Yes. Most of you do cling to guns and Jesus. The good news is you are not representative of the country. (Hint: Romney won here but lost).

Excellent letters Enigma. Hayes progably got a free Obamaphone from his "savior," and he probably lives off the government and that is why he pays homage to Obama, his savior. Pathetic people on the left.

It was refreshing to hear Dr. Carson speak. It almost seemed like there was still some common sense left out there. I was proud of that man to stand up and speak the truth right in front of Obama, even though Obama didn't get it. He is a narcisssit and will never get it as long as he is protected by his loving media and movie stars.

In all seriousness, in reference to both Hayes' comment and Enigma's (mostly Hayes') the whole 'clinging to guns and jesus isn't a coincidence.

There has been a large # of shootings in very recent history, both locally and nationally. As a result the President is attempting to infringe on the 2nd Amendment. People are outraged, hence the multiple letters, with multiple viewpoints about guns.

When people are scared, furious, looking for answers, they turn to or away from God. Some believe God is their 'savior' others believe there is too much of an emphasis put upon him. No matter what side of the line you stand on, you'll always find God in the eyes of Tragedy. Hence the reason many of the most recent articles have been about religion. It makes a lot of sense really. Are people clinging? Sure, they cling to their strongest beliefs. We all do, regardless of what those beliefs are. I don't have a problem with the LTE's regardless of whether or not I agree with them.

Hayes, I do have to agree with Enigma on one major thing.. your child rape comment is sickening. I don't even know where you came up with that. Too many movies perhaps?

"The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, wanted everyone to have skin in the game. If a flat percentage is good enough for God it should be good enough for our government." - Ken Robertson

So, what's "the Lord's" position on capital-gains (and, investment-income, in-general). Does "he" (ALSO) feel the high-roller$/1%ers have some kind o' Divine Right to pay a more-reduced rate, on such income, than the average-person who WORKS (for an hourly-rate)???

Note: I'd prefer "his" response NOT be filtered thru FAUX Noise or Porky Limbaugh.

LOL

So the right has a new hero. Congratulations! Here is what makes him a hero. The right wing blog is a buzz with the speech he made. He spoke against Obamacare, he is a pediatric neurosurgeon (meaning smart and medical), He reference God, Bible and Jesus (meaning he is a good Christian as well as a doctor). He spoke to conservative values(meaning he is a conservative). He is being praised by the right with such lines as if he was Romney's VP pick Romney would be in the WH. Dang if they did not throw Ryan under the bus with that one. The right wing is saying he should run for office even President, the good doctor says it is in God's hands. He is humble too!

Yeah...he'd be better-served, studying BU$HCO's tendency to question the patriotism of anyone (and, any entity) who'd dare question HIS sales-pitch on the "need" to attack Iraq.
