I'm not talking about the quake in 2011 Im talking about in 2001 or 2000 I very specifically remember sitting in my class talking about it. It was an either an 1.0 or 0.00 this was about 12 or 13yrs ago. I believe there was an article in the Sun-Gazette. The fracking theories can't explain for 2000 or 2001.

We did have a small earthquake last year that was centered somewhere in Maryland or Virginia. Pretty close to Washington from what I recall. Trouble with the fracing pressure theory is that their was no fracing activity around that area. Williamsport felt the quake but the epicenter was hundreds of miles South. Ohio also had one last year. Somewhere around Canton. Fracing could have something to do with it, but there is no conclusive evidence just yet.

How can the earthquake be from fracking, when I believe in either 2000 or 2001 Williamsport had an 0.00 something eartchquake? BEFORE the fracking!

I kind of agree that we always look to blame. But let's just start paying attention to these. Didn't we have a little one last year too?

Well, well, well,I must agree with Ritty77 & pinecr on this one. It's the drink(4-5 million gallons of a trade secret fluid)that is pumped into the ground. At high pressure(aka called fracking)witch by the way the gas industry hates that word.(Fracking)You pump that much crap into the Earth and try and tell me it's a ok?It causes no known harm?"Well good luck with that, but my grass is greener and always will be on my side of the fence.Just don't think you can hop that fence and come on over here when all you have left is an indutrial wasteland my dear friend. In hte end you made your bed and riches from it now live with it.You're not jumpin'my fence, remember the sign said:NO Trespassing and Beware of the Dogs.

Pretty close to bowman field though.... Maybe we should blame the mayor? Failed hockey and their damage they left for the city?

Maybe it was the welfare trash?
Maybe the parasites all sat on their rumps at exactly the same time with their hand out, causing the quake. yup I blame the parasites!

I had just driven out of my garage and never felt it.
I just love the blame team lining up.
Nothing happens naturally anymore....there is always a fabricated cause that requires some idiotic response by gov't spending more money.

I give up Ritty, what caused it? You might want to let the U.S. Geological Survey people know since they are investigating it. It could save the tax payers a lot of money and we know how you people on the right hate to spend tax dollars.

It was only 2.3 on the richter scale.
I was less then a mile from the epicenter when the quake struck and didn't feel a thing.

Premier---It could be global warming.
Most likely you are correct. Maybe our liberal friends can chime in and tell us the proper number of carbon credits Al Gore needs to reverse the process.

It could be global warming. I heard a liberal talk show host asking a scientist if that asteroid that flew by the earth was caused by global warming.
And these people consider themselves smart?

What, we all know that gas drilling and fracing doesn't cause earthquakes like so many other areas have reported....oops, maybe it does....
