I couldn't do it

February 22, 2013

I tried but I couldn't. I couldn't listen to the SOTU speech. When he finally said that the rich could pay a little more, I turned the sound off....

Max,

Do love your post.....

Even factchecker spoke to the amount of lies told during that speech...but, we should not be surprised. Obama has proved to be consistent..consistently a liar. My mother always taught me the proverbial, "People lie when the truth fits better."

The right is a blind to the obvious. Rubio stunk!

I still look at Rubio as an individual. Being an awful speaker does not mean he would be a bad policy maker. Both sides are far more concerned about pushing the masses to the edges of their platforms to give them power. The middle class everyone claims to be a part of is a lot less of a force when most reside in their cute little boxes in the far left and right corners of the room.

What is the big deal about Rubio drinking WATER??? If I had to listen to Obama spew lies and then had to give a speech decrying the lies, I surely would want to drink something much stronger than water! Can't you libs find anything more substantial than taking a drink of water to make a big deal about? How about Hillary screaming "What difference does it make" when being questioned about Benghazi? Now that is something to TALK about! Drama Queens, that is what the liberal left has become.

" doesn't give consideration to anything that was said but when taking a sip of water goes viral and you think that becomes a disqualifier for being a leader"

This wasn't about "taking a sip of water", its about all the temple rubbing, lip smacking, spittle wiping, and THEN the incredibly awkward reach for a bottle of water, and long drink. It almost completely distracted from all the garbage in the speech.

If you don't have enough common sense to simply take a drink BEFORE giving a nationally televised speech, good luck in Presidential politics. You'll need it.

If Obama had done what Rubio did during his rebuttal the right wing would singing how much of a liar Obama is.

Sorry Rubio only reiterated the GOP talking points and did not address the State of the Union speech. Rubio's performance was less than stellar and was the worst speech he has given so far. He sweated and then developed cotton mouth so bad that he had to do a hand sweep for the water. Rubio just repeated what Romney/Ryan said in the campaign nothing more.

Hayes demonstrates what is wrong with the left. Probably didn't watch the Rubio speech to start with, doesn't give consideration to anything that was said but when taking a sip of water goes viral and you think that becomes a disqualifier for being a leader just stick with it.

I do not disagree with this, however must ask if Mitt was giving the SOTU speech, do you not agree the crowd would be full of the upper class? We have been that way since our inception. It started that way with our first, and nothing changed except the things we ***** about.

"As I have stated previously, seeing or hearing Obama makes me want to regurgitate."

Does he remind you that your party is circling the drain? I hope you didn't miss the Sweaty McCottonmouth post game show, starring the former savior of the Republican party. It was priceless.

"I would have no problems living without this president, thank you."

But Relene, you CLEARLY stated MULTIPLE TIMES prior to the election, that your deity was going to pick the winner, and you were very ready to abide by that decision.

What changed?

Wow. What a hodgepodge of sentiments. I think I'll stick to commenting on the letter. I purposely chose not to watch the SOU. I watched the Westminster Dog Show. Much more serious and the participants (dogs) are more loyal, courageous and real than a room full of multimillionaires patting each other on the back or fighting like a bunch of school kids. If I don't agree with the direction we, as a nation, are on, why on earth would I want to watch the "leader" of the demise tell me how much more I should pay, how many more people get something for nothing and how I am awful for having faith (which I don't force on anyone or discuss with anyone) and having an armed presence in my home and on my person? I agree with much of what the author has to say.

T-Baggers....obviously.

So, Shaman, you are admitting to being a T-Bagger? Must be because you are the only one who is fixated on Obama being black! LOL" - max4ever

*

Actually, no matter WHICH political-forum you might enter, T-Baggers think it's pretty hip to be cowardly, ignorant, White-trash. They think their coded-references fool people...but, what can you expect from NASCAR-fans who'd "discovered" politics, right around the same time Obama was elected?

Please explain how its a discussion of "sexual situations" to explain why "the gay folk" would be offended by someone's use of the word "teabagger", considering that the practice described is not something that's exclusively part of the gay culture.

Or by trying to change the subject, were you trying to say you "lost the argument" without actually having to say it. You people truly are puzzling.

Hayes--So you still can't explain your earlier comment regarding "the gay folk"?

Not really my cup of tea discussing sexual situations/activities with you pal. With your strange infatuation with the Nugent feces story, and you insist on going on and on about other activities think I'll leave it at that.

Besides it's starting to get dark out. Your probably being expected at the lookout soon, wouldn't want to hold you up.

I changed the subject? Lose what argument? YOU are the one that brought up the subject of the word "teabagger". I never mentioned it here today, until YOU brought it up.
