I tried but I couldn't. I couldn't listen to the SOTU speech. When he finally said that the rich could pay a little more, I turned the sound off....

I quit watching the national political news about September of 2008 when it became apparent that the national media became so blatantly obviously bias towards liberal left wing causes. I knew it was there before, I has just not paid much attention because I bslieved that the American electorate would see through the political BS and vote accordingly. But we didn't.......Our throats. were cut back in November of 2008 at the ballot box

"Yes, the royalty was all there that night, complete with the March of the Victims. Unfortunate people who were noticed by the government, shipped in to be pawns to push for the next assault on our freedoms. "

Are you talking about one Theodore Nugent, that crapped his pants to dodge service in Viet Nam?

Mr. Weigle, Great LTE. As an answer to your question, "after hearing of how the government will strive on to take better care of us, the masses will say, How can we live without our Beloved President?!" We would do well without him or the Congress.

Mr. Weigle, I do not understand what you mean by this. Explain yourself.

Copied from MSNBC-Martin Bashir. Tired talking points from knuckle-dragging Hayes. Try an original thought instead of regurgitating garbage sometime???

Good Letter.

@Jerry, Mr. Weigle is referring to the presence of the parents of Hadiya Pendleton. The 15 year old shot and killed in Chicago.

" Copied from MSNBC-Martin Bashir."

Martin Bashir? Nugent gave an interview like 20+ years ago where he talked about all the things he did to avoid service in Viet Nam, including crapping his pants. What exactly does Martin Bashir have to do with that?

" C.P.Hayes--MSNBC talking point"

Well that's a neat trick, because I don't watch MSBC, or any other TV news for that matter, because its all pretty much garbage.

I brought up the fine upstanding Mr. Nugent, that I believe has been interviewed twice by the Secret Service for making threats to the President of the United States, because I had read some lunatic teabagger Congressman had invited him to the SOTU. Now THAT'S a brilliant piece of work there.

I was neither aware that they scrapped all over themselves, nor ran around talking tough about wanting to start a revolution and start killing people like your hero. Do tell us more.

I tried but I couldn't. I couldn't listen to the SOTU speech. When he finally said that the rich could pay a little more, I turned the sound off.

But, what did strike me was the wealth in the room. How many billions of dollars was represented by the politicians in the Chamber?

And yet these same millionaires will get government pensions and free healthcare for the rest of their lives working as lobbyists and on the lecture circuit. They will get invited to lavish parties and go on junkets with their buddies still in government." - Gregory Weigle

So...you're in-FAVOR of increasing taxes on "these same millionaires"...or, not?

I'D say "someone" is a little confused, or...at the very-least..."somewhat" conflicted...kinda like one o' those Snookie Palin speeches.

The parents of Hadiya Pendleton, Ted Nugent, Billy Joel, Bruce Springteen, Kaitlin Roig (Sandy Hook teacher), and on and on and on at every SOTU Address are all pawns on the stage of politics.

When are the stupid people going to realize that these orchestrations are done to play on their emotions and garner their votes. In the words of that famous statesman (bulldozer) Rahm Emmanuel, "don't waste a good crisis."

Why put your trust in these men, mere men; instead put your trust in God, the author and perfecter of life.

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

I prefer not to give them special treatment in the first place. They can have the same healthcare plan, retirement plan, travel accommodations, and adherence to the laws as every other government employee.

These elite and aristocrats should not get special benefits. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

When government officials speak these days, one can only wait to see what happens, as what happens rarely matches what was said. It pays to consider all political speech as propaganda as it’s only intended to convince and persuade and has little to do with fact or actual intentions.
