Mr. McAndrew, Congratulations on writing such a stinging Letter to the Editor. I'm sure you are very proud of yourself.

Keith McAndrew,

Congratulations, I award you this response for participation in writing an LTE today. You can now go have a venti triple espresso, whipped mocha latte with sprinkles on top with your nacho cheese Doritos.

BTW, your LTE today was rated 10th place. Oh, you get a smiley face too. :-)

Funny and satirical look at today's thinking but alas deeply flawed.

Mr. McAndrew thinks he knows but doesn't. Some can't afford the membership fee let alone not participate if they were so inclined to. Some will even give their membership to someone else thinking that they will become healthy and fit if they do.

Reality is everyone has the opprotunity to have a membership, everyone knows that this is the way to maintain health and fitness. Then you realize that not every membership is the same, not every exercise will give you the results you want, that not every facility is the same. You realized that all are not affordable. Not everyone gets a mmebership. not everyone is going to join but create their own methods.

All Mr. McAndrews described was indifference not thinking.

Let me slow this down for you Chuck.

Forget the membership crap.

Some people just want to benifit off the backs of others but without the effort.

The metaphor was labored, but the meaning was clear. Don't expect the reward without the effort. It's a personal responsibility thing which is why Jerry and Chuck don't get it.

For the record I'm pro personal responsibility and against sloth.

I'm also against making kids go to bed hungry because their parents are idiots.
