Truth or drink?

February 25, 2013

A friend suggested an excellent drinking game for those wishing not to fall off the wagon. It involves listening to any of President Obama's speeches and drinking only when he tells the truth....

I have an idea for another game for you. Load a gun before the speech, and as soon as the President starts talking, put it to your temple, and pull the trigger. Then we won't have to listen to the wall to wall whining anymore.

Sounds like a pretty crappy game, Knapp! I can't stand listening to the President for than a minute or so. I usually give up with his anouncement of his next political project of what he's about to ram down our throats next. Things that aren't broke, but he's going to fix for us. Even though he's got plenty enough problems on his plate already, the pr

Since the truth has also been stretched to breaking by the author; I guess that means that no one can have a drink this morning.

In his defense, the Whitehouse still blames the sequester on the Congress when it was the Whitehouse that devised the sequester solution and sold it to the Senate and House of Representatives. It was passed by Congress and signed by the President.

We can thank Bob Woodward for accurately capturing it in his book and holding the Whitehouse and President responsible. The President did lie about this in the debates.

All Presidents have lied but what I would like this POTUS to do is accept responsability for just "one" thing. Just ONE instead of blaming everyone else.

Until the next Republican administration, then the left will be inconsolable and forced to pull out their sharpies and start drawing Hitler mustaches on everything...again.

Just make sure you have a couple Liberals at that party. Just so they buy the beer because they will be doing all the drinking. To them everything Obama (who art in heaven) says is true.

Do they have Kool-Aid flavor beer?

As long as that gun isn't an "Assault" rifle, right Hayes? More civility from those peace loving lefties.

This is a good joke, but it is a poor letter to the editor.

CHayes, That's why I don't watch his speeches anymore. When I hear him speak it makes me want to shoot myself. Don't get your hopes up, it's not going to happen.

I certainly wouldn't want you to shoot yourself. I was kind of just joking.

Here's the funniest part of this. Not one of the lefties here has tried to refute that everything Obama says is a lie. It's kind of telling isn't it? The saddest part is that they know he's lying and don't mind.

I do disagree that everything that Obama says is a lie, however, I do believe that EVERY Politician lies and it doesn't matter what party they are from. So this letter should extend to Politicians, not just Obama. This was a waste of time to even print quite frankly. SG says they're not 'bias toward republicans' but yet they actually chose to print this. About that..

So are you saying that if someone sent a letter in that said the sky was green, and nobody bothered to reply because it was so ridiculous on its face, that it must mean the sky is actually green?

Or were you thinking that someone here should start pulling transcripts of every word the Preaident's ever spoken from his first day in office, and start demonstrating that its all true? Why bother?

The conservatives focus on his lies to avoid looking at theirs. Which is why they drink so much in the first place and need help not to.

When you point one out, then we will deal with it. Trouble is, you never seem to find any.

Obama's are easy. Start with "if you like your health insurance, you can keep it." Then move to (paraphrase) the average family's health costs will go down $3000 with my plan. Or try when he claimed that $80 billion in cuts would basically shut down the country.

Your turn.

Ever heard of hyperbole, Francine? It's something that Democrats use every time they claim that a dollar in cuts to any program would cause people to starve.

Ooh, how about this one:

"...today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay—and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control."

Drrrrrink!
