Here's the only question I have, I hear all this talk about the 'middle class', but what about those living in Poverty? Where is the care for those people? Do they not have to deal with the same tax raises and troubles that the middle class does? I believe they do.

Now, as far as your letter goes, I agree, dividing citizens into 'classes' is ridiculous, always has been, always will be. But they do it to benefit government in the way of revenue.

The President's vision is that federal government is a full-time partner for each citizen to meet all their needs from cradle to grave.

Instead they should have a reduced role of providing some basic common infrastructure (law enforcement, roads, security, defense, legal system that is fair for all) while staying out of the entitlement business, healthcare business, using government to grow the wealth of favored businesses and individuals, regulating social issues, etc.

Yes. We will "here" from them. We will also hear from the other side "who know whats best for us". The division is personal agenda. What's best for me is the basis of opinions. Save the good for the country option. Self interest will trump every time.

Division of the people is a successful tactic. Why should liberals stop?

In the end, they eat their own.

Hey Spike, while we're picking on Premier's grammar, how about his "your to stupid" being "you're too stupid"?

From what I remember, they were never consulted...during the discussions, regarding BU$HCO's push for tax-cuts.

Yeah...right...it was Liberals who decided minorities/women would not vote for the White-Wingers. It wasn't our choice. "God" made us do it.

LOL

Republicans have done more to separate people and create the division economically in the US. They attack labor unions, gays, immigrantion. They have attack women, children and minoritites. Now they are attacking living standards. Eric Cantor has submitted a bill that would let employers eliminate overtime pay. It does not eliminate overtime but the paying of it. It is so unfair to pay someone for working past 40 hours in a week.

Republicans are in favor of lowering the minimum wage because they know how draining financially that is to upper class.

The minimum wsge laws were a very bad idea from the beginning. What business does the federal government have in mandating what private enterprise must pay private sector employees? Wages should be a matter strictly between the employer and employees, same as benefits. If te employer won't offer enough to live the lifestyle you desire, either economize to make it enough or find another employer.

I would like to give a shout out to Spikes and SteelMan for their profound typographical error catching skills and their need to comment on such.

I wish I had the fortitude and trival preocupation with wasted time to comment on all the errors in grammer that's witnessed here {hear}? but I have neither the time or inclination to follow such petty responses.

Hi premier.. but of course, your response is in fact the very thing you claimed to have neither the time nor inclination to indulge. Perhaps you intended your target audience to understand the underlying irony.. well played, sir.. (ma'am..?)

No need to worry about those living in poverty, we middle class our working 16 hours a day just to supply them with more sneakers and gold jewelry, video games and movies to watch all day.

Wayne you really are stupid.

How so, Einstein? (Einstein is my dog's name, and he's smarter than you are, too!) Anybody who disagrees with you is stupid? It seems to be just the opposite, that everybody is smarter than you, and you just can't accept or realize it. In what regard is the minimum wage law a good thing? What does it do? It forces employers to pay more for certain jobs than the work is worth. Not more than a person is worth, but more than the work is worth. The employer must decide if it's worth overpaying to keep the job, or eliminate the job and double up the work on other employees. Those kept, doing inflated wage jobs, cause the costs of all goods to increase, even for themselves. They're no further ahead, in fact farther behind, than before. They need more money, causing inflation again... a viscious cycle. Explain the good?
