Montgomery did tear down a lot of those old factories, and new industries have been built in there place. Dedicated locals are cleaning up downtown, and for the fist time in years there is only 1 unoccupied building on main st.The rest have locally owned small business in them. I've lived here for 12 years and I'm proud of my town and proud to say that I live in Montgomery. Is it perfect no, but people are putting effort in to making it nicer and thats what counts.

When was the last time you went through Montgomery? When you were a kid? So much has changed in Montgomery. That big ugly old factory is gone and new businesses have built in that spot. Many of the blighted buildings on Main Street have seen a facelift and are now home to new stores. Thanks to STEP, many houses have been given a fixing up. The town is looking very nice. It has a very promising future. It's disheartening for the residents when outsiders cut the town down. There are much worse towns in this state. Yes those factories were an eyesore but many are finding new life and new residents.

Montgomery really needs too tear down all thoses old factories and old buildings on Main St.I can remember as a child going thru that down that it was dump and still is after all these years you would think they could of got grants years ago to clean that old factory spot up and the rest of the town because it could be a nice little town, just the wrong leadership all thease years. I mean those factory sites look like HELL.
