Good story – but there’s several other benefits that people who receive Government Benefits like Food Stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, Section 8 Public Housing Assistance, TANF and others. Another program is Lifeline where people can qualify for a FREE cell phone and up to 250 minutes of monthly service.
Lifeline Landing is a new service that allows consumers to compare and evaluate different wireless carriers for their FREE Government Cell Phone Service and find the best deal for their individual situation. Visit ***********lifelinelanding**** to learn more – hope this helps!

Constructive social programs give people a hand up - not a hand out.
Now, if we could only find a way to help the hundreds of other people in our community who need a hand up.
My concern is: Who is really making out better; the tenants in the program . . . the salaried employees who run the program, . . . or the landlords who can assess higher rental rates based upon the tenants’ rising income ?
Who is it, that is really “going to the bank?”
Just saying.

I like the idea of working toward getting people into self sufficiency. This sounds good, but newspaper stories don't always tell the whole story. But on the surface, this looks good! A step in the right direction and congrats to these ladies!
