That would be a neat feat, my Mom is dead. But then that is how crass you are Bobbie. Actually according to you Bobbie no one on the left would wear shoes with laces they would be 'loafers'.
"Go back and read my post real slowly, Chuck. I said that China is moving in the direction of Capitalism. It’s idiotic to imply that I’m in favor of central planning. You’re achieving total pointlessness in your posts of late. You might want to step back and reconsider some of them."
It is your post that is pointless Phil. China is not moving to capitalism that is enjoyed in Western culture and economics. The Chineses government is not going to give up central control of the economy. They are not going to give up control of the banks nor of finances. China has become more open to private ownership of businesses but even that has strong government oversight and control. Foreign companies can open businesses there but they do not have the freedom they have in Western countries.
The argument has always been that capitalism can only thrive in a free society like America. China disproved that.

Sometimes the root cause in the world is the pursuit of the idol or god called money. Even in the church, there are those that are not content with what God provides nor do they bring the whole tithe into His house.

Chinese do not have true capitalism. The state still has a stronger hold on the economy than the Western countries. Apparently Phil you are in favor of that.
I’ll offer that China’s success is a result of moving their economic structure from Socialism toward Capitalism. We and the rest of the western world have stagnated as we’ve moved from Capitalism in the direction of Socialism. You’d think there’d be a lesson to be learned there.
Dr. Shelhamer - you (probably deliberately) skipped one obvious reason for high unemployment in the EU countries. They all have Liberal / Socialist governments with high tax rates and expensive social safety net policies. Why did you fail to list that?

Carlitos "The right can't get their shoes off, they're stuck to the floor."
Actually it's called grounded in reality.

Poor Carlitos as much as he'd like to move forward it seems with one shoe nailed to the floor all he's capable of is cutting small circles.

Yep, don't hold the parasites responsible for anything. The liberal creed uttered daily to preserve their worthless lifestyle.

Vince, how does China fit into the mix? Economically, they are very successful. To what do you attribute that success?

Where is the blame for the generational poor and terminally lazy who demand societies spend themselves into oblivion?
Sorry, if we are to "pull together", then the habitually poor and the consistently lazy will have to change as well.
