Mr. Bush and his VP can not travel to some European countries or they would be arrested, put in jail, and tried for war crimes against humanity. Spain is the most vocal about it. When people lost their lives at embassies under President Bush, not much was ever said about it. People were killed under both Presidents and for what reason or ideal? It is just a shame in both situations.

When you send Bush and Cheney to the World Court, you better load up the entire Congress on the plane that voted for it, including the current President.

Because there are US Embassies and many people in the world hate us for a variety of reasons, they will be attacked. It doesn't matter if it is a Republican, Democrat or Libertarian president.

The issues are which countries should we be in, what passive defense measures are being taken and what defensive reactions are being taken in the event of an attack. We continually learn so we can fortify weaker embassies.

For Benghazi, poor defensives were put in place. There are reports that military officials were blocked from above for attempting to render aid. The administration, in an attempt to divert attention from their own ineptness, releases some co ck and bull story about some homemade video stirring up the attacks. Because it was political season, further stonewalling took place.

The criticism was not unfair.

At this point in time, the bigger question is what are we doing now and in the future to protect our people.

Send Bush and Cheney to a foreign country for trial on an action that people were demanding, the intelligence agencies all over the world confirmed necessary and was approved by a majority of Congress, including Bush's successor? That's quite a stretch!! The criticism of Obama/Clinton on Benghazi has not been nearly severe enough, much less unfair! They knew why the attack occurred, but made up a convenient lie to cover it, and our media, their willing accomplices, ran with it.

Will the making of the excuses ever stop? At the current rate of excuses, President Obama will have "Bush did it and I'm still trying to clean it up" chiseled into his head stone! When are you leftwing commies going to let your choice for the office of President stand and be accountable for his own actions? What President Bush did eight years or longer ago has no bearing on what our current administration is doing right now. Quit trying to take the stink off of them by blaming others! Four American died in Benghazi while high ranking American politicians stood by and did nothing. Blatant lies were told by the President's staff during and after the fact and the news media went along with the coverup. The people of the United States deserve to know how their leader was involved and what and when he knew it! Quit creating smoke and using President Bush to let your failure of a President escape HIS responsibility!

Hey Liberals! All we ask for is consistency. Richard Nixon and his people covered up involvement in a petty burglary and Democrats and the media ran him out of office.

Obama and his people knew that they dropped the ball after repeated warnings from the embassy staff that they needed more security. So they made up a story to make it seem like the attack was spontaneous and not planned ahead of time, even though they were warned. And the media is actively aiding in the coverup by not pursuing the story.

Nobody died during Watergate. Four people died in Benghazi.

I guess there are no more Woodward and Bernsteins anymore.

Shame on you. Why not look at this situation and the horror that resulted from it and hold persons responsible that should be? So blind in your hatred of the right, you can’t stand up to assure our current Gov took all the right steps and if they didn’t were held accountable. It doesn’t really matter to you and some of the other posters what happened as long as the blame doesn’t tarnish your idols. In this situation, it was on the anniversary of 911, many of our top officials reported complete falsities to mislead the American people and to steer and election. It’s clear that is OK for you, but it’s not for me. These people were let down by both parties and died a terrible death trying to do the right thing for our nation.

The only "problem", I can see (regarding Benghazi), is that the Obama Admin was too QUICK to keep the public informed of the event! What they SHOULD have said, so soon after the event, was that the matter was being investigated!! It's not-as-if our conspiracy-theorists WEREN'T going to come-up with SOME wild-a** fantasy...no matter WHAT the Obama Admin said.

Transparency is a fine thing...once any-and-ALL data has been discovered/analyzed, but...the attempt to get-out, AHEAD of the conspiracy-theorists, is a waste-of-time...as has BEEN proven.

Ron, If the President had been truthful about anything when it comes to the Benghazi incident, then maybe it would be over. But they lied from day 1, starting with the story about the video, which they knew was a lie and continued to tell it even after everyone else knew it was a lie. If they had told the truth, they would have taken their lumps and it would be done, but they will not come clean.

...Not to mention the '83 barracks-bombing, in Beirut (during the Reagan Admin), when 299 American and French servicemen were killed! NO one questioned REAGAN, when we SPLIT (from Lebanon)...when it seemed so-much-MORE "critical" (for the Reagan Admin) we pursued the Grenada Campaign, instead!!

Hi vince.. 'all you ask for is consistency'?.. given the current state of the republican party, including the rebuttal to the rebuttal, the tea party revolt, the lack of a coherent policy position on immigration and so many others, the primary challenges and on and on, your own party seems to be falling far of giving you all you want.. although, I do applaud speaker boehners support of VAWA, despite much of his party opposing it.

The media gave more attention and air time to Marco Rubio taking a sip of water during his SOTU response then they have given to an attack on an embassy where four people including the ambassador died. Why?

To the uninformed writer of this letter, if you remember, both Obama and Clinton came out after the even knowing full well that it was September 11 and it was a terror attack, calling it an attack due to outrage over a trailer video which was absolutely ridiculous. We watched this 15-minute trailer and it was hideous and had absolutely nothing to do with the attack. But since it would not look good for our dear President during a time of election to know that he was sleeping and not making important decisions, that they chose to cover up the actual events and their lack of appropriate response. Caught in their lie, thanks to Fox News, they were exposed, but thanks to our liberal Obama-loving media, they swept it under the rug, so no wonder why you know so little. Please find yourself more informed before you write stupid letters to the editor. It makes you look really stupid.

I say we dig up the sainted Ronald Reagan's corpse, and put it on trial for all the American lives lost at TWO embassy bombings in Lebanon that happened in only a year, at TWO American embassy bombings. Why, wasn't the first embassy bombing enough warning that he should have increased security at the second embassy?

I don't recall hearing anyone of any party attacking Reagan for those bombings, but then again, the opposition party hadn't just slashed the embassy security budget, and they didn't happen just before a Presidential election, so the victims didn't have the honor of being trotted out and used as political pawns by a pack of degenerates.

Yes Vince is correct, the media did give way more attention to Marco Rubio taking a sip of water from his water bottle than the fact that Clinton and Obama watched in real time the murder of our ambassador and the seals who went in to try to help, (since the government would not). How pathetic and if that were your child who had begged for protection before the attack, up until and during, you would be outraged but since it wsa someone else's child, it just has to be compared to Bush and Cheney. Oh and by the way, Obama has killed more people, men, women and children with his drone strikes than Bush did.

"We watched this 15-minute trailer and it was hideous and had absolutely nothing to do with the attack."

Is that why the leader os al Qaeda brought up the video in a video he released just before the attack, calling for attacks on Americans?

Who's uninformed now?

Darlin you presented no facts either.

Nixon got ousted for a petty burgary, amazing how conservatives viewed it.

Clinton was impeached for lying about a bj but if you asked a conservative it was for destroying the government.

Ok, so the Obama sycophants will bring up Bush, they will say we are being too harsh and they will defend to the end what Odumber and Clinton did--all the while they knew their citizens were dying. The very same citizens they vowed to protect.

My question is, where are the survivors and what light can they shed upon this mess?

"the media did give way more attention to Marco Rubio" Vince and you both are wrong. Benghazi is still in the news 6 months later.

The cottonmouth Rubio story died in the media not too long after drinking.

We are part of this wanting to know now society but sometimes we should be patient and wait for facts to come in. In law enforcement, they say they can't comment at the time of investigation. The same should have happened in this case.

What will happen now is when it finally all comes out, the sides will believe what they want regardless of the truth.
