When the Church establishes the government? I'm surprised the 2nd amendment guys aren't all over this one to defend the Constitution.

Oh wait, I forgot, their outrage is selective.

Jerry, I don't see Mr. Freezer trying to take away any of your freedoms. He is giving his view of the founding, not trying to force you to practice any religion. Maybe yours is the selective outrage. You are OK with the right to keep and bear arms, but let someone even mention religion and you think your rights are being violated.

BTW, You may not agree with his opinion, but Mr. Freezer's historical facts are accurate.

What a terrible attempt at metaphor. I suppose that the LTE writer is a tad upset that people are leaving organized religion in droves, and the older white Christian electorate is dying out and being replaced by those who use logic, reason, compassion and science in their daily lives, and don't live fear-based lives based on a book written by peasants.

"a book written by peasants."

Yeah, I guess peasants were educated scribes and writers 2000 yrs to 3500 yrs ago.

Yes, there were so many universities to choose from in those days, and libraries held an amazing number of books to study. Didn't Jesus attend the University of Bethlehem?
