To Texasfrom PA, you push the myth that to stop burning fossil fuels would send us into the stone ages. It's the exact opposite. I drive an electric car that runs on 100% windpower. I've driven 13,000 miles not using a single drop of gas (gas from oil supplied from countries that hate us) using electricity that doesn't pollute our air or water and is Made in the USA, provided to us FREE. All we do is pull it from the sky. We've been burning coal since the start of the industrial revolution. It's time to move forward, not stay in the 1800's.

Francine you do realize Krancer works for the DEP which is Pennsylvania state government- not federal.

enigma, no warming? really? How do you explain the staggering amount of sea ice loss last summer, the "perma"frost thawing, glaciers receding all over the world, etc. etc.? No one uses the "hoax" argument anymore.

justice you are correct that burning coal does produce particulate matter that causes cooling. Back in the 70's the scientific community was warning us of global warming but a few scientists warned that burning coal causes short-term cooling (like a volcanic eruption does). THey weren't sure wether the cooling effect from the particulates or the warming effect from the Co2 release would trump the other. Turns out the warming effect wins.

Cave, ever hear of electricity? I drive an electric car and heat my house with wood pellets.

I remember those climatologists in the late 60's through early 70's. By the year 2000, they claimed, most of North America would be under at least 20' of glacier. Those still with us are among the alarmists now claiming the polar caps will melt and we'll all drown! It's not about climate, whether the world is warming or cooling. It's about aiding the progressives to maintain control. Whatever is the passion of a liberal group, they're liberals first and whatever activism they favor second. Ever notice that whatever liberal cause you might encounter, it's pretty much the same people protesting?

Does anyone remember in the late 60s to early 70s the climatologists claiming an ice age was on the horizon due to the ash from fossil fuel blocking the sun's warmth? I'm still waiting for THAT to happen.

You would think that all of these science minded people would have figured out that man-made global warming is a hoax. There is no more warming and there has never been any evidence that the warming that ended a decade ago was man made. There is also no evidence that warming would be dangerous if it did happen. But don't let that stop you folks, keep demanding that the government regulate your life in the name of a myth. Sounds like your definition of religion.

DEP Secretary Krancer is a bona fide idiot. He needs to go before he and Corbet destroys our state.

Well from a group that think are only arms shold be muskets I think the answer is simple. Do horses give off methane?

Explain to me how I'm supposed to keep warm from late September through early May, in Pennsylvania, without fossil fuel.

How will I keep my food cold, wash my clothes, or have light to read by at night without fossil fuels?

How should I get back and forth to work without fossil fuels (it's a 46 mile round trip)?

How do you propose that we deliver millions of tons of goods to stores around the country without fossil fuels?

Turn off the lights.

Stop heating your home.

Stop driving.

Buy cows to provide milk and meat. Wait, you can't do that either because they create that mean green house gas called methane.

Environmentalism is a religion to these people and no quantity of facts will sway their faith.

Global warming (or whatever they call it this week) is real. Gas drilling pollutes and fossil fuels are evil.

Meanwhile, trillions spent on alternative energy has still failed to create a viable alternative to our current fuels. The answer: we haven't spent enough!

In a time of economic hardship for millions, does it make sense to spend billions per year chasing a dream (by giving those billions to preferred donors) or would that money be better spent recovering the 8 million jobs our economy has lost since the last recession?

This guy needs to head over to China and break the news to them that we need for the Chinese Government to get with the whole global warming thing. While he's there maybe he could get them to stop polluting everyones environment with their industrial waste!
