@Bobbie2

Well you sure proved me wrong. What metric would you accept as an indicator of recovery?

Somewhere chicken little is yelling out that the sky is falling, and someday chicken little may be right, but that day is not today.

If chayes of mr. shaman used caps in a post directed toward me, the I would call them out. But they don't, it's you who exhibit the boorish behavior.. liberal ideals carried the day during the most recent elections, and 5 of the last 6 presidential elections, and there is nothing you can do about it but remain bitter..

"And I realize you are extremely rude.. it is not necessary to use caps, which indicates shouting or raising you're voice."

First of all, you don't know what you are talking about! Had I typed the entire comment in caps, that would indicate shouting (as you put it), NOT when I use caps to emphasize a word or words.

Secondly, your criticisms are apparently only for conservatives. I have't seen you making ANY comments on liberals "shouting" when using caps, i.e. Hayes or Shaman. Shaman is especially bad at using caps......as in the comments to the lte "HISTORY LESSON."

I realize liberalism is a mental illness, but do you have to work so hard proving it?

Shammy - the only "LIAR, and RACIST" is you. I said nothing of race, I never do. In my eyes we're all one race - Human race. Get over it and get back on your meds.

Hi Josh. Thanks for asking and it's a fair questions because at first you would probably think that it's in the best interest of the people to let the people choose their Senator.

The Senate is supposed to represent the States, not the people, in making federal law. Unfunded federal mandates may not happen as often if the States had say in the crafting of the laws. Also, the people could not simply vote themselves a gift from the treasury if the States say no.

I believe each state should be allowed to choose how it's Senators are selected. A state could still choose a general election, that would not be prohibited.

And I realize you are extremely rude.. it is not necessary to use caps, which indicates shouting or raising you're voice. If you want a summary of the purchase, go to rep lynn westmorelands web site.. he's a republican from GA and he summarizes the solicitation and procurement quite nicely..

YOU TUBE? REALLY? You sure it wasn't PMSNBC?

As someone with relatives in N.O. who lived thru Katrina, I'd have to say that description of "being a damned, garden-variety LIAR, and RACIST, to BOOT," fits you to a "T."

RACIST? You can really fabricate the bullcrap can't you? Where was race mentioned in Hiller's comment? YOUR comment makes YOU the RACIST.

Wanna hear the libs squeal?

Remember fours years ago, in Obama’s speech in Colorado back in 2008 he said this:

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

How does this now play with his promise to put his full weight behind gun control legislation?

Will this be the catalyst for forming the Civilian National Security Force for enforcement of gun bans and restrictions?

Go libs go!

"Not true, bobbie. The government did not buy that amount of ammo, it has a contract in place to buy up to that amount. They are not obligated to buy that total, it is probably how the government has purchased ammo many times in the past, nothing new about it.."

As a retired purchasing agent and also former employee of U. S. Army Missile Command's Procurement & Production Directorate, I think I can honestly say you know nothing about purchasing contracts! I too had OPEN contracts. They were BINDING, and OPEN referred to delivery.

Each federal agency purchases their own firearms/ammo. Just a few weeks ago, the IRS was in the news after ordering a large quantity of guns/ammo. Military firearms/ammo is purchased by the Dept of Defense.

DHS (federal government DHS) has nothing to do with state and local police. Each state, including PA., has a(department)FOR Homeland Security which WORKS WITH the feds on matters of terrorism. In PA is it called the "Governor's Office of Homeland security." Again it is supported by the state, NOT DHS.

Firearms/ammo for state police is purchased by the state. Counties take care of sheriffs, and local governments take care of local police.

That leaves DHS with 1.6 billion rounds of ammo!

"After Hurricane Katrina the danger of gun laws became clear. Police went into neighborhoods forcibly confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens, using gun registration records. They confiscated property without probable cause and without providing due process in clear violation of a person’s 4th and 5th amendment rights. Then the gangs and other criminals came into those areas and used illegal guns to take what they wanted, law-abiding people were held defenseless." - CarlHiller

Enigma can you do math?

Do you know the estimated amount of guns owned by the military and law enforcement? it is roughly 1 million for law enforcement and 3 million for our military making that 4 million.

The estimated number of guns owned privately by US citizens is 310 million. That breaks down to a a ratio of 79 to 1 ownership rate between private and public.

You combine that with the fact that many in the private sector is former members and trained by the military.

You are an idiot enigma if you think the federal government is going to get everyone with a gun. It is people like you that people should be wary of.

"What this means is that all of the ammo included in this 1.6 billion rounds was for killing people (and training to kill people). This is way too much ammo for training purposes, especially considering that much training is not done with live ammo." - enigma

I'm guessing you have no idea (what's involved), regarding such training.

Were you (like) the youngest of multiple-siblings...and, you're STILL desperate-for-attention????
