"...Act 13 natural gas drilling impact fees to offset costs at no burden to taxpayers."

What a sweet deal. Use money from the industry to help the industry make more money. Not much wonder the gas industry liked ACT 13.

Soooo, you are not in favor of these residents having access to a cheap fuel source? Just asking?

If they want cheap fuel then pay to have the lines installed. The right's arguments of pick and choose make no sense. ACT 13 was to help communities affected by the drilling not so the industry can make more money and the airport can be improved.

I agree, just playing to agitator. So, all that tobacco money that was misspent by every state, should that be returned to the original purpose? We have a govt at every level that cannot control it's spending. They view every nickle as theirs to do with what they see fit despite where it was intended to go. It really is all about getting reelected, there is no honor among thieves or our elected officials!

A township in PA was in the news for using their Act 13 money to reduce property taxes by 50%.

"the borough could use Act 13 natural gas drilling impact fees to offset costs at no burden to taxpayers."

Excellent idea. This will save the residence money compared to buying fuel oil and electricity for many years to come. Pipelines should be expanded to more users in high density areas.

This should not cost the taxpayers at all. If you want gas in your house, pay for the lines to go to them. Just like water lines, or electric. Like I said sweet deal for the gas industry.

Hey Billy Bob, they said they might use ACT 13 money. And as I said what a sweet deal for the industry. If you want gas in your home pay for it. If I want water in my home I have to pay for it. If I want electricity to my home I pay for it. Soon I won't care so do what ever you want in this area.
