Requiring identification in exchange for exercising our right to vote is a solution in search of a problem.

But, if they now say that democracy can not continue as it has done now for more then 200 years, then I guess we better do it right.

We MUST insist that the state issue special identification specifically for the purpose of voting and require it of ALL eligible voters.

Absentee ballets MUST be banned. No ID, no vote.

Maybe the PA GOP can find another foreign company, like with the state lottery, to give the contract to for the new identifications.

@MrShaman - I'm not sure it's feasible for every doctor's office to set up a digital camera to take the patient's pictures, but actually that sounds like a good idea." - CaveFelem

...Or, thumb-prints as ID. Seeing-as-how laptops are readily-available, that recognize the users' thumb-prints' (rather-than entering user/password), people who require such security-measures should have no problem employing such measures/hardware...as-WELL-as for voting purposes.

ID CARDS are about as technologically-"critical" as buggy-whips, presently.

I'm pretty sure the ID is needed to prevent some sort of fraud, i.e. someone else using their insurance.

And I was also asked for photo ID when I went for my last mammogram.

I surely do hope your parents aren't relying (too heavily) on such a staff to recognize/identify symptoms of Alzheimers. That staff sounds "moderately"-challenged, as it is.

Maybe your parents should suggest that office upgrades their computer-software. I'm "fairly" certain they could buy a version that attaches patient-photos to patients' files...making ID a "little"-more customer-friendly.

My parents are in their late 70's. Both go to the doctor's office more often, sometimes for tests or just appointments. Both of them are asked for their photo ID (driver's licenses) each time.

For the people who say they can't get a photo ID to vote - don't they go to the doctor? Don't they ever have a medical test?

Yeah...right...that's ID-foes' (actual) agenda...cutting White-voters outta the process. If people (like you) weren't paying such close attention, we could (ALMOST) get-away-with-it.
