Agreed USA....I have stated before...if I had school aged children,they would NEVER be enrolled in the public school system.

No one should be celebrating K-12 public education! Too many kids are being graduated without the ability to read at a satisfactory level. Geography and history are lost causes. Discussing these subjects with todays grads makes one cringe. As for math, take away the calculators and see what happens.
Education started a downward trend in the 60's and 70's. Why do we allow it to continue? The grand program, NO STUDENT LEFT BEHIND, has been a fiasco.
As long as everyone sets on their backsides and waits for someone else to tackle the problem, it won't change.
