Erik, The Supreme Court settles disputes regarding the meaning of the Constitution. That involves interpreting the meaning of the Constitution.

Liberals confuse the amendment process with a living, breathing constitution.

David:

No, the Supreme Court was not created to interpret the Constitution. That is a power they asserted via Marbury vs Madison.

Chuck: 'Does the right know the framers did not want future generations to fall to 'original intent' when it came to the Constitution. They wrote the Constitution so that future generations could interpret it to guide them through future problems'

Erik, I think the drafters of the Constitution knew that it would be interpreted. That's why they created the Supreme Court. Also, our two most precious rights, life and liberty, can be taken from us in a court of law as long as we have been proved guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt". And that phrase is certainly open to interpretation.

Did you know it is still illegal in Pa. to carry a live chicken through your front door? Sure, laws never need changed to apply to the times.

There should be no interpretation of the Constitution. It was written for the common man, using the common man's language.

Lawyers and those with agendas tell us the Constitution requires "interpretation".

Like Bill Clinton, claiming oral sex is not sex, these liberals twist and turn clear meanings into whatever they want.

We have moved from a nation governed by clear law to a nation governed by the present-day whims of men.

I agree that the American people are being divided and readied for each smaller group to be conquered, but I also feel that our way of Governing requires at least political parties to work at all. The Republicans conservitism counter balances the Democrats liberalism and vice-versa. Neither political party should crush the other or we would have a dictatorship on our hands.
