Leftist ideology

March 24, 2013

If a conservative tries to adhere to a set of moral standards, but divorces, has a child out-of-wedlock, or commits some other moral failing, they are derided as a phony or hypocrite by the left....

No, I do not love them because they are conservative.

I love God (the Father, the Son [Jesus], and the Holy Spirit) because He is the Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and Lord. I desire to have a relationship with Him and follow His teachings.

God's teachings are what they are; if you think they are conservative, then fine. Do you want to love Him; do you want to experience His love?

Here is some truth for you valves/Wayne, conservatives only love conservatism, if they don't see conservativism in it they oppose it. They love christianity because they say it is conservative, they love jesus because he is conservative, they love god because he is conservative. They think if they love it enough they can say Christian religion is conservative ideology.

Did you ever study anything like the Crusades or the Inquisition?

"Can we agree that we would rather live in a place where gov't does not tell us how to live?"

So you want to beat your wife, molest children, and drive drunk? Govt's mandate is to create and enforce laws that facilitate the functioning of a society, and provide stability. That's their job.

"Liberals think conservatives want to govern as a theocracy."

That's another false statement. All conservatives are NOT conservative christians. And many of those who are ALSO think religion belongs in a church pew, NOT the govt. Gavin and Phil come to mind. I wouldn't characterize them as supporting a theocracy in any way shape or form.

"What is it with your constant harping on chain emails? You must get hundreds of them"

I get ZERO chain emails. Thats how things go if when somebody sends you one, you debunk it, and hit "Reply All". Embarrass some people for being stupid enough to forward that garbage, and guess what...they stop doing it.

"Personally I think we should institute a retroactive chain email tax of a dollar for every forwarded email, and let the right pay off the deficit. If you forwarded an email to 100 people in 2002, pay $100. 50 recipients in 2008, $50 please."

What is it with your constant harping on chain emails? You must get hundreds of them since you seem to be an expert on what is in them.

Hi premier.. no, I don't' believe all media is real. Fox news isn't very believable, for example.. I don't think Harry Potter is real, either.

"Christianity is the only religion that can lay claim to protecting the right to pursue other religions." Actually, Christianity has done more than its share of attacking those of other beliefs and even of those within the Christian community. And, Islam does have a history of tolerating Judiasm and Christianity much better than Christianity has tolerated other religions.

Thank you for proving my point.

Liberals think conservatives want to govern as a theocracy.

But liberals govern in exactly the same way, except they choose different things as "evil" or "immoral".

Can we agree that we would rather live in a place where gov't does not tell us how to live?

"So God created mankind in his own image,in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." -Genesis 1:27

Part of being made in God's image is having His moral code "programmed" into our being.

So morality existed before the advent of Christianity, Judaism, or any of the other world religions. Laws, courts, parents, Biblical teaching, etc. can reinforce morality.

"Christians on both sides of the ailse. Really according to most on the right no one on the left is a Christian only the right."--CMReeder

"Three times Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, called for a voice vote on the changes and each time the yes and no votes seemed to balance each other out. On the third attempt, Villaraigosa ruled the amendments were approved — triggering boos from many in the audience."

CMReeder, when I witnessed the above event on TV during the DNC, it made me wonder if there are Christians on the left. But since I heard many voice votes to put the word God back in the platform, it gives me reassurance that there are many Christians and religious on the left.

"Satan did not break anything, factions within the church did that. Human beings did this not Satan,"-CMReeder

+++

"Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel." -1 Chron 21:1

"“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan." -Job 1:12

"Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”" -Matt 16:23

"When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him." -John 13:27a

"Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart?" -Acts 5:3a

Humans do make the decision but don't believe for a moment that Satan is some innocent bystander or mythical character. He is at work to destroy the church and does it thought influencing human beings.

Wasn't his show on Current? And how is that "glorifying" by the "leftists"? Spitzer is free to pursue an occupation, is he not? At least he knows his political elective office career is over. What's his name in SC is leading the polls to be elected again, even after his "Appalachian trail" affair with the woman from South America!

That's pretty funny. Yeah, one can "pursue" other religions, but if it were up to the religious right, one would be "governed" by Christianity, so please... "pursue" away.

This nation was founded by Christians who truly understood Christian principles and morality by ensuring all faiths would be protected.

Christianity is the only religion that can lay claim to protecting the right to pursue other religions.
