It sounds good but it overlooks the fact that we are blessed with an even more abundant and cheaper source of energy here in Pa. Wood. Why bother with gas when we can burn wood. Whether you know it or not, it's all the rage. Everyone's burning it and Gene Yaw was endorsing it not that long ago when new guidelines were being drawn up for wood burning furnaces and outdoor boilers. Whether you live on Grampian Blvd, Valamont Drive, Lycoming Creek Road or any residential neighborhood in Williamsport we're burning wood baby. That's the future of cheap abundant energy in Pa!

Switching public buildings to natural gas will save taxpayers money.

Great job, Senator Yaw!

Yea lets all burn wood. We will have every tree in sight burned up in 10 years and have to wait 30 years for new trees to grow. Great idea!

Corbett is an idiot....all he sees is the money the gas industry is putting in his pocket so they can roam free in this state. That is why Krancer is getting out while the getting is good...he wants to exit before fracking is found to be bad for the environment and your health...gee, really, we don't already know that! The gas is heading out of the country folks...not going to help out anyone here or at least not enough people to warrant the fact that our forests are being destroyed and soon the water will too!

jeff, if your talking about Florida we use a electric heat pump in our house, it's cheaper than gas.

Of course Yaw wants to increase the use of gas. He is invested in and stands to receive large amounts of money from this industry. If he can pass legislation to force this then he gets money. And of course Eric gets to keep his job as industry shill. We are being sold down the river and we are powerless to stop it. The industry is willing to invest the money into buying our "leaders" instead of investing in a life long commitment to sustainable fuels. We don't need the gas, the industry needs the profits. That is all there is to it.

No we dont know that! Nothing has ever been proven that fracking is bad for your health.

Yaw has been receiving money from the industry by leasing his 100 acres to Anadarko Petroleum, talk about a "conflict of interest".
