Whenever I see a letter like this and see the moaning & crying of the left-wing commentators, I think of liberals as Kevin Bacon at the end of Animal House jumping up & down screaming "ALL IS WELL!!!!" while there is mass chaos going on behind him.

"BIG Government is bad. TOO MUCH taxing is bad. TOO MUCH spending is bad. TOO MUCH waste is bad. We need a leaner government that minds its own business, which has been spelled out in this space by many conservatives." - SteelerFan

Ah, yes...those folks who get TOO MUCH in tax-cuts...while the rest-of-us are relying on an infrastructure that's collapsing, all-around-us.

Steelers, is right. Those are not valid arguments, Chuck. Those are not our positions. It's the straw man again and again and...

There's good news, though. Now that Obamacare is covering sex changes, you could finally get a pair.

Mr. Petcavage, I probably agree with you on many things, and I know you are better than this letter. Check the tone, elaborate, and make sound and valid arguments. In my opinion, of course.

Spring has sprung! Here comes the tree pollen. Achoo!

Hey Chuck, your incoherent babbling is made worse by your grammar and spelling errors.

A recent report claims that trillions of dollars held by US citizens and companies is located in off-shore financial companies in places like the Cayman Islands even members of government have accounts with millions in them.

Another report listed inventions by government that have benefited the private sector and the citizens. Touch screens a government invention. Google uses an algorithm that was a government invention and the founders of Google where awarded fellowships to work on and develope that invention. They turned it into Google.

Bad argument Phil. When the republcan cronies cut they cut programs like NASA were people like scientists and technicians and engineers and designers and support staff gets laid off. All these wonderful government trained professionals. Government is not bad as the right says it is. The other part of this is not all of these highly trained people who use to work for the US stay in the US to work.

You have to wonder how much these companies get from the government to start their privae businesses and then turn around to charge the government to use their services that the government dd for itself.

The government is responsible for lots of new developments, it just costs a lot more and the funding is strongly directed toward rewarding cronies and ideology.

Government does have a purpose; to protect our rights, provide a legal system, currency and infrastructure and I strongly support government that complies with the reason we created it in the first place. To suggest otherwise is being far less than honest.

That is because government did all the leg for them; the research, the testing, the trial runs, the designs, the theories. But as we all know government isn't good for anything, right Phil.

"I noted on the news that the U.S. is now totally dependent upon the Russians for any manned space travel. Just another example of how this once-proud country has/is falling from its leadership position in the world. President Obama, your plan is working!" - Paul Petcavage

President Obama's plan????? He had ZIP, to do, with BU$HCO's tax-cuts.

C'mon...quit your whining...and, make a choice. Do you want a "leadership position"...or, tax-cuts for those folks who can barely spend what they've already got?

Quit being so self-centered, and start showing a "little"-more concern for the "job creators"!!

Actually, a private American company – SpaceX, has already made trips to deliver supplies to the space station and will soon carry Astronauts. They’re doing it at a much lower cost than NASA is able to do. Several other private companies are engaged in space travel also.

Actually the consevative plans are working. You know we don't need government agencies for anything, we have private enterprise even if it comes from Russia.

Plain and simple, it is called outsourcing of jobs.

If the services are needed, we should still do them in our own country albeit in a scaled back manner compared to the peak years.

Yes! Watch MSNBC and see how everything is wonderful and our nation has never been stronger!

Watch MSNBC and you will learn that Republicans are a far greater threat to this nation than Islamic terrorists, North Korean nuclear weapons or Iran's desire to create a new caliphate.

Mister Petcavage,

Pop quiz of the day, which political party favors privatization over government? Which political party holds the White House?
