Poor judgment

April 5, 2013

Why in the world would you publish a article on the front page on Easter Sunday entitled "Chavez's legacy gains religious glow in Venezuela" What a load to compare Chavez to Jesus Chris....

Even though the read on the CIA involvement of the overthrow is an interesting read, it doesn't compare with the situation in Venezuela. Venezuela nationalized their oil business over 35 years ago.

Maybe the right can explain how they are in step with North Korea and Syria and Iran in boycotting a UN treaty that bans selling of guns to bad people. Wow, the right is buddy, buddy with dictators.

I know two people that have moved their families to the US from Venezuela. One is a control system engineer that is experienced in both hardware and software in operating control systems with various plants. The other is a cost estimation/project controls engineer. They would both like to move back home but middle class jobs like theirs were cut when Chavez took over control of their oil business and started to strip out cash flow to fund the poorest instead of reinvesting in the business to sustain it.

"Crude output from Venezuela...fell 22 percent in the 14 years since the election of Chavez, who died March 5... A victory by Vice President Nicolas Maduro...may continue the policy of using profits from state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA to fund social welfare projects..." --Bloomberg, Mar13.

Socialism at it's finest; killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Short-term solutions at the expense of the long-term.

Exactly what "killings" are you referring-to....and, if he'd marginalized ANY "people of Venezuela", it appears to have been (their) 1%ers/high-roller$.

Erik who was not alive during the "Weather Underground". Erik who doesn't like professors because of liberal ideas. How about send your kids to a different college? How about not deciding who Jesus may or may not love? How about accepting people do not hold the same folks in esteem as you. Chavez was loved in his country. That is their choice. We do not rule all people in the world. Don't forget, Erik loves the drilling too. Want to bet he lives nowhere near a well site?

The right is completely nuts in their comments. Chavez is not viewed the same here as he is in Venezuela where he is revered. The right just looks stupid and foolish.

What the he!! is wrong with you Erik? Your hatred for those that have a different opinion than you has gone off the deep end.

Everything you posted here is a lie.

The conservative/right wing Sun-Gazette did not have to put that article in the paper.

So the question needs to be asked Tedeaux, is this rather another example of right wing corporate America slapping the face of Americans?

The criminal, Cesar Chavez, is far more loved by liberals than Christ.

Just as liberals loved Chris Dorner, despite his multiple murders.

Just as liberals love Bill Ayers, from the Weather Underground, and put him in teaching positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Just as liberals love Kathy Boudin, the Weather Underground murderer who just landed a cushy job teaching our future leaders at Columbia University.

Yes, liberals love those who murder or stand against capitalism.

Easter Sunday this year feel on March 31st which was also Cesar Chavez Day. I thought it rather ire provocing when Google chose to honor Cesar Chevas alone, without mentioning The Christ at all. Just another example of left wing corporate America slapping the face of conservative Christian America!
