Golf vacation only? This has been the most expensive welfare project ever in our WH. Perhaps the Hollywood gurus would like to fund their idol and leave his expensive stay at the WH out of our otherwise bloated deficit.

"President Obama is making a big show for the taxpayers (voters)"....

Besides golf, basketball, vacationing, and riding AF1, putting on big shows is his only other "talent".

"Rickie "Among recent presidents, Bill Clinton took the least time off -- 28 days."

Bubba had no place of his own to go to, typical parasite liberal always lived in public housing."

Awwwwwwwwwww, c'mon Bobbie. We all know why Bill didn't want to leave the W.H. He didn't want to be away from Monica. He needed his daily cigar.

Important distinction: "Vacations" taken at one's own home are quite different from those taken at resort destinations. How many "vacations" have the Obamas taken to their home in Chicago? If someone has an apples to apples comparison of the recent Presidents please share. I believe recent complaints center on the expense involved not the time out of the White House.

True about Crawford Texas, Buff. They called it the western White House because Bush was WORKING while he was there. Bush did more presidential work at Crawford than Obama has done in total.

Keep it going, fist two meetings were pretty boring. Oh I forgot a G, global warming.

This from CBS News

"So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch. Among recent presidents, Bill Clinton took the least time off -- 28 days."

In 31 months I have taken 80 days vacation, My bad.

Hi Vince.. but you can compare President Obama to gw.. or Clinton or every other president ever elected. They've all taken vacations, there is a reason they called the ranch in Crawford the Western white house.

John Boehner isn't throwing command performance parties in the White House like Obama is planning with Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Queen Latifah and lots more. How many multiples of $20,000 do you think that will cost the taxpayer? Or how many White House tour guides could you pay with that wasted money?

Has Boehner played 100+ rounds of golf in the last 4 1/2 years with all that secret service protection and helicopter rides that are required when Obama does that? You can't compare the two.

Please explain where you come up withthe 4 million figure you throw around? These figures are as misleading for Obama as they are for all presidents. Most of these are fixed costs attendant tot he fact that he is POTUS. Same was true of Bush.

"It will be an absolute riot watching the posts here."

It already is a riot and there are three letters today (the one on hunger is a hoot) to make my life easy as I have meetings all day today. Just wish there were letters on guns, gays and God. The three Gs of the republican party, but this will do. Don't let me down guys, doing a great job so far.

idiottwo:

Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink have turned against this administration.

No news coverage.

President Obama promised to close Gitmo on Day 1. Now, he is asking for nearly a quarter-billion dollars to upgrade Gitmo.

Silence from the left.

Hypocrisy.....just look left.

It will be an absolute riot watching the posts here. The left will justify the vacations and spending, but I remember when they rediculed Bush for his. And though its changing the subject, I saw a report on some of our troops killed in action over the weekend, why doesn't CNN and MSNBC keep score on the deaths like they did for Bush? Is it different now? The left complained about Bush's spending, war, unfriendly nations, privacy, debts ceiling, on and on, but somehow it seems like its different now.

Nice gesture on his part but what would be of more substance and value is proposing a balanced budget. Leave tax rates where they are and offer a budget with reduced spending.
