"Hey Skippy, you do understand that the "summer of 2010" occurred BEFORE those pesky elections did, don't ya?"

Gavin when liberals are spouting their drivel, they don't bother with understanding OR facts. If they did, they would have to admit they are wrong 99.99% of the time.

"...And, how long the general-public can manage to ignore the fact they'd CREATED this situation....primarily, those voters who'd endorsed/voted-for GRIDLOCK in D.C.!!!"

What Shaman fails to mention in his "drivel" is the fact that the biggest gridlock in D.C. is the Senate democrats. He constantly refers to gridlock, but ALWAYS fails to mention the fact that Senate democrats won't even discuss the MANY bills forwarded to them from the House. Now that is gridlock.

As I said before, liberal drivel!

"According to the BLS, in 2001 there were 138M employed. That dropped to 136M in ‘02, rose to 146M during ‘06 and ‘07. Dropped to 138M in ’10 and remains at 139M. When one considers the population growth during that period, you can’t possibly consider that a recovery. The President and Obamaphiles aren’t interested in getting at the truth however; they’re only interested convincing themselves and others that reality is what they want it to be." - philunderwood

How "conveniently" you "conservatives" manage to forget mid-2008, thru 2009...even after being beaten (about the head & shoulders) with the details!!!

We do want this country to prosper and improve, we just think there may be alternative ways to accomplish it." - Tgrammiex4

Not to worry. Hillary Clinton is White...if you "conservatives" insist everyone waits, 'til 2016, before things improve.

Francine, by all the economic indicators, we are in a recovery, albeit a very anemic one, and have been for a few years.

Well you know, when it comes down to a mere $750 billion a year (1/2 of the $1.5 trillion budget shortfall his first year in office), the Obama sycophants will claim that he has kept that promise ignoring the fact that he was talking about a G. W. budget shortfall of $450 billion at the time.

What a bold leader!

Hi Vince .. I'm afraid I didn't imply anything of the sort.. I cited a specific portion of your post and correspondingly inaccurate republican nonsense. Republicans cited taxes on 'job creators' ad nauseum for the economic ills of this country, a study by the CRS, commissioned by republucans proved that to be false. Republicans talk occasionally about the will of the people, public polling showed people want an EPA.. excuses can be found on both sides of the aisle.

"Hi Vince.. yes, excuses do get old.. especially ones like high taxes on 'job creators', or regulations, or the EPA."

Buff - please explain how these factors have nothing to do with labor numbers as you imply they do. Or are you simply another Liberal in the mold of Chuck Reeder - one who knows nothing other than what they read on Liberal websites.

Every dollar taxed or regulated away from a business owner is one that they do not have to invest in their business. This is just plain common sense. But I know that is asking too much (common sense) of our Liberal friends.

When you quote actual BLS statistics like we’re always asked to do they simply get ignored; it’s no wonder we can’t get an intelligent discussion going with our progressive posters.

How many jobless people do any of you know? The numbers should bounce a bit in the next few months. I am not implying a recovery but many layoffs end. How are the retirements calculated into the numbers? Everyone knows we are in a slow recovery. Until our elected officials learn to really compromise (yes, both sides) we will remain in a standstill.

"Yes this is what one gets with the obstructing right and let's not forget the sequestor. The right doesn't want things to improve."

Chuck - what would you have to say if not for your ready access to Liberal talking points. I understand that you were unable to defend your unconstitutional claims in that thread last Friday. Try this time defending your claim that the sequester is the reason for the bad jobs report.

This is just the latest excuse Obama has cited for his lousy jobs record. A few others were - The fiscal cliff, The debt limit debate, Arab spring, The tsunami in Japan, superstorm Sandy, and lots of others. Excuses get old after a while, don't you think?

Chuck,"Yes this is what one gets with the obstructing right and let's not forget the sequestor. The right doesn't want things to improve."

Yeah let's not forget the sequester, which was Obama's idea and some desperate, foolish Republicans went along with it. How far left is Chuck that he considers Obama to be "the right"? Let's also not forget that the sequester is only bad because Obama is using it as a political tool and that it is not a cut in spending at all, but just a reduction in the rate of growth.
