I agree with you Ms. Temple, but I would add that the American electorate has sold it's soul for the false security of Government check. Politicians that promise voters bigger and better payouts are the ones that get elected, not the ones that predict doom and gloom unless everyone starts doing their part.

"People, it is up to you and I to raise our voices and to get the message across, "DON'T MESS WITH THE CITIZENS OF THE USA!" - Ida Temple

*

Uhhhhhhh...when did that new "message" officially replace "GRIDLOCK!!"?

Who locks up the grid more than the Dumbascraps? For them, 'compromise' means to agree with them, to let them have their way. They are the playground bullies, who say, "Give me your lunch money, or I'll beat you up!"

Wow 'blame government', like you all haven't been saying that since Reagan, since the American Revolution.

Well I agree, I blame government. I blame the right wing of government. They do not try to make goverance better only worse. So get rid of the right wing of government and you get get rid of bad governance.

Hey.

I thought this was a great letter! I commend anyone that takes the time to write a letter to the editor encouraging their neighbors to become active participates in our democracy.

Speaking of drivel, as Bufftrev1 did, stop and really look at the liberal comments. Nothing BUT drivel and nonsense......as usual. Go to any lte and you will see nothing but more of the same. It is simply impossible for anyone with the mental disease of liberalism to spout anything but drivel. And these are the fools who want a government run by one party? That's been going on for the last 5 years, and look where this country is.

The sad thing is, these people actually vote.

@USABorn

So you are saying my comment commending the writer is drivel?

You are entitled to your opinion and thanks for sharing it.

CMReeder,

"" blame the right wing of government. ""

On the bright side... you are *half* right.

And it still takes at least two too debate, argue, fight, and or agree / disagree, Engage Gridlock.

Which brings us back to...

The problem is not, I repeat Not. the Demarcates OR the Republicans...!!

Its the Demarcates AND the Republicans...!!

How about just encouraging everyone to vote no matter party affiliation?

Spike, I don't encourage anyone to vote if they have no idea about what they are voting for. This is the main reason we have the Great Leader.

Steeler, that is absurd. You are implying you are in actual possession of greater intelligence or reason. You are no doubt smarter than some but not than all. We vote as we believe. You are no more or less entitled to a vote than any citizen.

Spike, I didn't say any such thing, but if you're too dumb to know what's going on, stay home. Many people don't know how they believe and vote because the candidate looks good or talks good.

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama paid $112,214 in federal income taxes in 2012 on adjusted gross income of $608,611, an effective rate of 18.4%, the White House said Friday.

More wine!

Truth be told, that's more than enough; it's just the hypocrisy, is all.
