First of all, it was an EPA award, not DEP. Secondly, this is not one of the gas industry operations; it's the county landfill. Beyond that, with no more flaring, there's LESS methane in the air and the country is saving money by supplying its own energy and selling it to the prison. Next time, read the article.

Pine, did you even read the story? I think you saw energy along with methane and went right to the comment section.

First of all, whenthe DEP gives you an award for gas industry activities, I would be leary as to where they are coming from. And wait till we are 25 years down the road and then we will be hearing about all of the breathing problems and diseases caused by the methane...then you can be very proud of that as well, but I am guessing the newspaper at the time will not carry any articles on the sick people.
