Wow really sungazette i post my comment about those council people that mlk is talking about and you delete my post. Well in that case i will rephrase. On anynight of the week you can go downtown and see council members and the small potatoes you call the upper escholon of williamsport getting loaded at old abandon buildings now called the brickyard or the row home next to the cartoon mural painted by an addict, known as the bullfrog, so i doubt a brown paperbag covering up a forty is beneath any of them. Happy sungazette i didnt post any names. If you delete it this time i will knos you are being paid off by council to hide the truth.

Definition of a council member -- A person who runs the city as a part-time hobby and thinks he/she is an expert.

Unlike Bill Nichols and the architectural design firm, who do it professionally, everyday, and for more than 20 years.

That's an awfully snarky and rather revealing thing to direct at the councilwoman. Never mind the fact that she's absolutely right; Pine, Market, Williams and even Third Streets are lined with empty storefronts and restaurants that underperform. Where then is the sense in adding yet more empty space? Aside from that, the clientele that frequent Ms. Miele's restaurant, and others of its caliber, would in all likelihood not debase themselves by dinning out in a parking garage.

I like it. Closed up with the glass panels is a good idea. Hopefully there will be no open stairways for the town drunks to urinate in like they currently do at the deck which will be torn down.

"A drawing shows a futuristic-looking facility, laced with traditional features meant to save money over construction with all-brick and concrete, but some on council suggested it may not be the right fit for that area of the central business district."

No doubt!!! It ALMOST appears SOLAR-GAIN was a consideration!!! What are neighboring-towns/cities gonna THINK, if Williamsport appears to be hurtling into the 21st Century??!!!
