It amazes me that if a 15 year old girl falls down and breaks her arm, the parents must be notified immediately because the school or whatever institution is entrusted with the child can do nothing without parental notification and involvement, not even so much as an aspirin. But the child can be given abortion-inducing drugs or birth control, or even be taken for an abortion with no parental notice or knowledge. What's wrong with this picture?

Seriously...you're blaming OTHERS for blathering "on and on ad nauseum with a never-ending line of crap"????

Nope! Mainly, there's one uniquely qualified presenter of lines of crap, and you see him every time you look in a mirror that doesn't break immediately when 'seeing' you!

"That's ALL??!!!!! "

That's enough, that 15 year old CHILDREN should not be taking it without the knowledge of their parent(s), i.e., "With Plan B or Plan B One-Step, you may also have some unexpected bleeding. It should go away by the time of your next period."

So you think it would be ok for a young girl to have prolonged bleeding?

Sham you get more ridiculous everytime you comment.

That's ALL??!!!!!

Those "potential side-affects" aren't NEARLY as numerous as those (advertised, on T.V.) from the plethora of "happy pills" the pharmaceutical-industry is PUSHING, presently.

Hopefully, women won't use it as birth control (contraception), since it allows the egg to be fertilized first (if I understand correctly)." - Ritty77

...IF you wait more than 72 hours to take Plan B tablets...which would explain the "morning after" designation.

There is no such thing as a pill with no side effects. Not even the old stand-by aspirin!

Potential side effects of Plan B or Plan B One-Step include:

nausea abdominal pain fatigue headache menstrual changes dizziness breast tenderness vomiting diarrhea

Plan B or Plan B One-Step causes less nausea and vomiting than ECPs that contain both estrogen and progestin. And, you may be able to reduce any nausea or vomiting by taking the pill on a full stomach. Eating small, frequent meals over 24 hours may also help.

With Plan B or Plan B One-Step, you may also have some unexpected bleeding. It should go away by the time of your next period. However, it is possible that Plan B or Plan B One-Step may cause your next period to be heavier or lighter than usual. It may also come earlier or later than is normal for you. If you don't get your period within three weeks, get a pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant.

Good post, JohnMBower.

Hopefully, women won't use it as birth control (contraception), since it allows the egg to be fertilized first (if I understand correctly).

And the age limit seems a little low, in my opinion.

@eriklatranyi: From the Plan B website: "Plan B One-Step® should not be taken: If you're already pregnant, because it won't work."

Plan B or Plan B One-Step is not the same as RU-486, which is an abortion pill. It does not cause a miscarriage or abortion. In other words, it does not stop development of a fetus once the fertilized egg implants in the uterus. So it will not work if you are already pregnant when you take it.

So, Plan B doesn't *end* a pregnancy, it prevents pregnancy from ever happening.

If you take that into consideration, it sounds about the same as pulling out to finish or using protection.

When a 15 year old, who is 9 months pregnant, consumes Plan B, what will happen to the baby?

We now see that Dr. Gosnell is not the only abortion doctor committing infanticide, we have video showing it is commonplace.

Liberals love to regulate your guns, but resist any regulation of abortion.

This is the result.....live babies being drowned in acidic solutions or having their spinal cords cut with a pair of scissors.

The true face of liberalism is on display, folks!

you mean by removing a tyrant who killed hundreds of thousands of his own innocent civilians, helping restore a country governed by elected leaders, and an improved infrastructure... then yeah, good example.

Like I said, stay away from the big cities. They, like all large cities, are infestations of liberalism where there are "victims" of society who need to be enabled in their victim-hood. By giving them free benefits and encouraging them to vote to keep their "keepers" in office, they will still be victims, but will be "given their due" to correct all wrongs done to them. No racism here.....
