What about adultery, child/adult abuse, coveting, jealousy, materialism, narcissism, selfishness, and not eating the broccoli on your plate?

Don521 - It becomes someones business when they bring it into the public sphere, a battle is not one-sided and this is a battle, otherwise there would be no differing opinions. Christians must work on a new front. While we should not stop fighting to preserve traditional marriage, and many may be willing to compromise on civil unions, we must start fighting now for protections for religious objectors to gay marriage. Due to the secularization of America so-called gay marriage will happen, the goal for those of us against the acceptance of gay marriage needs to be protecting the rights of Churches, businesses, and individuals who refuse to accept gay marriage as a legitimate institution as best we can.

Examples of homosexuality in the Bible, such as Sodom (from which is derived the term 'sodomy') and Ham's sin against his father Noah, are always cursed.

"...probably..."???????

You faith-based folks are O.K. with developing legislation, per what "God" PROBABLY feels????

The last I heard, no one (to-date) has been forced into a Gay-marriage.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

That is all. If you don't want gay marriage, don't allow it in your church. The government should not acknowledge your religious beliefs. I will also respect the opinions of the self proclaimed Christians a little more when they follow their book. Most of them are posers. I have not seen one virgin stoned this year! I KNOW many people have unpure women have married! Please rectify this problem. Thanks.

Shammy, your lack of comprehension skills stymie me, or is it just the Alinsky rule “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” Here is another, “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Your tactic of constant ridicule has become a drag, it's old, and stale, get a life. No where did I ever come close to stating that anyone was ever forced into a gay marriage.

Oh brother, here we go again, Fast forward ten years, who cares. Marriage is a word, stop defining it the way you want it. Why is it conservatives don't want government in their lives, except on social issues? And of course property rights.

DKMDKM - "The government should not acknowledge your religious beliefs." Every belief that someone expresses politically is rooted in some philosophy or religion or some set of assumptions about society and its well-being. They do not come from out of nowhere. Religiously-based convictions about society and morality are as legitimate as those that spring from non-religious philosophies. Get a life.

Hey...whatever it TAKES...to suggest that people look at BOTH sides of whatever issue.

Whatta concept, huh? It DOES have a tendency to screw-up the whole "absolutes"-trip, but...so WHAT!!

The Bible also does not acknowledge dinosaurs or real creation of the earth and land masses. Was God not on the scene for these events or perhaps just not worthy of mention?

If you don't like gay marriage, don't get gay married! I don't like close minded bigots, so I am not one. It's very simple. I am certain there are many aspects of your life that I find offensive, but they are yours, so I live with it. You should do the same. And all you other folks that want to bring religion into the discussion, and start "fighting to preserve traditional marriage", what makes your version of marriage traditional? Oh, it is your tiny little perspective... It's a big world out there, someday maybe you should open your eyes and see it.

I'm sure the faith-based folks' eyes are as open as any horse...wearing blinders...except, the faith-based folks prefer the "comfort" of "absolutes" (over those leather-flaps).

I didn't know You Tube was a credible source of information. I use Drudge and Glenn Beck since they use their own or other credible and verifiable sources. Have a great time with that Libs!!
