County presses local municipalities to replace or repair deficient bridges

More than 60 locally-owned structurally-deficient bridges in Lycoming County need to be replaced or repaired according to county officials, who said the cost to fix them is more than $28 million....

Part of the problem is the over-kill engineering and approval processes that are done for some of the smaller bridges in the townships. It drives up the costs too much.

Instead they should be allowed to have fit-for-purpose, standardized designs that could be used that save lots of money and would provide a good bridge that would last for decades to come.

I've heard the Cayman Islands have WMDs. It seems-to-me the term (used) was "slam-dunk".

I agree with"rick424"lots of gas activity all over Lycoming County where is this act 13 money? Anadarko paid the State $249.3 million where did that go? That's just one gasholder, how much did all the others pay? Where did it go? Oh the County didn't get much of that to amount to anything? BS why not? Just let them keep frackin' and the bridges will keep on crackin'.Quit your crying, you made this mess now live with it. All you saw was$$$ when they came a ****in' and now you're mad you didn't get a big enough cut. To late now.
