It's much higher than that because the people that have exhausted their unemployment benefits can't be counted. Why is it, you guys always forget this fact?!

So you're saying the Employed % is 91.9%+? B.S.! First of all, I bet it's fair to say that close to half of the employees that have 'well paying' jobs within the city don't even LIVE in the city, maybe more than that. I personally work at a facility that employees over 300 people, many of them do not live within the actual city and they make a pretty good salary I must say.

Those #'s you provided, as Lisa suggested, don't include the individuals that have exhausted Unemployment benefits and can still not find a job. I would say that the unemployment rate, IN REALITY, in this city is much closer to 30-40%.

No, of course not why would it be Bobbie? seems like you specifically directed that comment at me.. trying to suggest something? lol.

Btw, to clarify, when I said a lot of the employees here where I work live outside of Williamsport, I meant many of them live in Sullivan and/or Clinton County.

My son works for a co. that offers mechanical repair/support to the gas ind. They have been taking apps for 3 mos.It pays fairly well but requires on-call avail. and long hours sometimes. Also req. drug testing. Many applicants haven't passed the drug test, and if they do they are not willing to work the hours/ be on call.My son has flourished on this job, gets paid well and has gotten alot of training he can take anywhere with him.He was willing to work long hard hours to get there though.
