Ron Kamzelski-"What a sick pathetic country we have become that puts MONEY and the confusing words "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed" above the rights of its children to a free and safe life."

Interesting..... I'd bet Ron is pro-choice.

But 'right to a free and safe life'? Funny, I don't recall the constitution guaranteeing that would would be safe. I recall the DoI telling us we are born with the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness which are 'endowed by (our) creator'. Of course most anti gun people are pro-choice and don't care about those rights when it comes to the unborn child. That should be where your outrage is directed, not at the millions of legal, law abiding gun owners whose rights you have been unsuccessful in taking away.

Well you can say the SG is fair and balanced. Yesterday crazy gun letters from the right, today crazy gun letters from the left.

See it all evens out.

For the hundredth time, and still unanswered by the Left, exactly how would that law, or any law on guns proposed and proselytized by the Left, work to stop any of the mass killings that brought on this farce of a debate?

When you realize that none of the proposed new laws would have prevented any of the murder sprees that have happened under Obama's watch, you would rightly conclude that the Obama administration and the Left as a whole are using these mass killings as political tools to further put government in control of even more of our daioly lives,

Actually Shammy, the question should be - If I'm doing nothing wrong what are YOU worried about?

Why do you on the left think that making laws that restrict the constitutional freedoms of law abiding people (and nobody but law abiding people) will somehow end violence perpetrated by people who by definition are not law abiding?

Uhhhhh...it was that "looney leftist", Thomas Jefferson, who said..."I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare ALREADY to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country."

Thomas Jefferson was not the liberal that we have come to know in America today. While I do agree with your quote, Jefferson did not subscribe to the philosophy of the libs of today. "Liberal" has become synonamous with "statist", its 18th century definition was quite different, the philosophy of valuing liberty above all things not absolutely necessary to ensure the safety of the people and to provide for orderly justice and protection of property rights. Jefferson writings show that he believed individual liberty was to be valued over governmental power to manipulate the outcome of social desirables. If you could pigeonhole Jefferson today he would be a Libertarian. It is important to resurrect the meaning of Liberal to its 18th Century roots when discussing any founders beliefs. Modern day liberals should be referred to as "socialists". There goals are synonymous. Jefferson shares no root values with the left and would have resoundingly rejected social

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson

"rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."

First, liberals did not want just background checks. They wanted bans, registration and confiscation.

Second, since the gov't fails to enforce our immigration laws, specifically with regard to student visas, what makes you think they will do better with firearms?

Dr. Gosnell murdered more children than any of the mass murderers using firearms.

But the gov't failed to inspect or regulate his activities while he broke the law repeatedly.

Now, liberals think that same gov't will do a good job with firearms.

Liberal stupidity on display!
