"..and if they repeal it, the savings will more than cover the cost of those votes"

Savings for who? The healthcare market would still be messy and costly because the republicans have nothing to offer. All they offer is repeal.

Ever notice that the right is very concerned about my sex life. They are so anal that their mothers could feel them slamming shut in the womb.

voterandy,

I agree wholeheartedly. I asked the questions, somewhat rhetorical and somewhat to ensure clarifications to the originally statements.

They also apply to US citizens but some factions want to extend them to non-citizens.

Buff,

Good evening!

"I can only imagine the moral outrage from republicans if Democrats were wasting time and money on something like this, purely for show."

You are too intelligent for this lack of understanding. Not even Pelosi (in her own words, knew what was in the bill. You can be certain, it is not the ideological hope for those without medical coverage. This is a quagmire of economic pressure on businesses (not only small) across our nation. If it were just covering those uninsured, it wouldn't have taken over 39000 pages to draft. Please get ahold of this, those who would be proponents of national health care. This bill is a red herring. I know, whatever side of the aisle one treads, nothing is for free.

Hi gavin.. as I mentioned, please keep me posted. My better half is a runner and the event you described sounds like the type of activity we'd love to support.. be nice to meet a few more folks in town as this appears to be where I'll soon be living. I've met the local mma guys and have that covered but would like to broaden my interests.. enjoy the rest of the day!

Yea, beautiful day for a trail run, although that 1 + mile of a hill at the start was a killer. All for charity.

Buff:

Another idiotic liberal tactic...point to Republicans spending millions while Democrats say the ACA requires even more funding just to implement.

Like a deceptive carnival worker, Buff tells everyone to look at the right hand while the left steals your wallet.

So, you don't see a problem with this, Gavin? If it wasn't voted on successfully after the first time, or the second.. or the fifth or even the tenth, they've made their point. Their position is well documented for their reelection campaigns, is it not? I can only imagine the moral outrage from republicans if Democrats were wasting time and money on something like this, purely for show. BTW, how was the event today? Beautiful day for a run..

Just read about house republucans, who are about to vote for the repeal of ACA for the 37th time.. after the 33rd, it was estimated that the cost to the taxpayers was just under 50m. It is fair, then, to assume that the cost is now well over that amount, yet republicans try to claim to be the party of fiscal responsibility? Republican hypocrisy in it's full glory, folks..

"As usual, you are completely wrong, Erik. I'm sure, in your mind, anyone who speaks Spanish or looks the part is an illegal alien.. "

Please note the liberal tactic of saying one is wrong without any factual basis, then slandering the individual to change the debate.

It's too bad no liberal is smart enough to refute my claim.

By the way, Buff, you are wrong and probably a man-hating Soviet sympathizer.

For some, promoting the ideology that 47% of Americans are simply takers is vital to the notion of individual responsibility.. except when it comes to health care, useful for continuing to lose future elections..
