Annie, that's fair, I don't know what it's like to work there. So if it is, as you say it is, they're hypocrites frankly. It's unfortunate that many organizations work similar to the way you have described. At least, that's my belief.

There were perhaps 88 - 90 employees that got tossed to the lions long ago ... there were so many of those people that just were so dedicated ... we had our retirements taken, many had much more taken than I did, I will always be S A D the way a womens org that spouts off about what they do to empower women, actually treats employees the way they have.-

I am commenting on the way EMPLOYEES have been treated, not CLIENTS, and thank you for being NICE; I ran across several incredible situations while working at the WOW shelter for a decade in late 80s, early 90s, what we were able to do for people ... my ***** is the way the YWCA, as an entity, treats its loyal employees, and has ... for the last 25, 30 yrs. It is just not RIGHT.

As someone who knows from personal experience Annie, I have to respectfully disagree with you. I have been in the Liberty House and My mother has needed the helpful services provided to her via Wise Options, and frankly, they save lives. My childhood was filled with nothing but bad memories, the only comfort I ever got was when people like those at the Liberty House and Wise Options were able to help us.

Best look back on their history, the way they treat employees, everyone ... for an organization that is suppose to empower women, WOW, the way they treat their employees, who are mostly female, well, it ain't worth donating nothing! They may help DV victims, but the way they have treated employees, LONG TIME ones esp, well, they just do not practice what they preach people of LYCOMING COUNTY!

Wise Options is a fantastic organization. If you have the ability to donate to fundraisers they have or help in any way, it is a very worthwhile venture.
