Politically correct!

May 7, 2013

I get so tired of hearing you should be politically correct. It seems like we are asked to be that way all the time....

No Chuck, why don't you tell us who the 1% are. In the beginning the changes seemed to be very small and insignificant, in the end, they ruled with an iron fist, having sway over life or death with impunity.

No, Chuck, you ae wrong. Perhaps you might read his letter again without seeing what you think is a Liberal talking point and reacting to it. I understand that it's hard for you to do that, but try.

Political correctness is nothing more than forcing people to defer to certain groups of people for fear of offending them. Too bad that PC only goes in one direction.

Political correctness is used to silence the opposition because liberals cannot defend their inane beliefs with logic.

"Who is the 1%?"

Hi Erik.. I hope you don't take this personally but, as usual, you are incorrect. Liberals won the recent election, quite handily, providing all the validation to our beliefs that is required. It's the other party that has publicly stated their need to re-brand and provide outreach to the numerous groups they've marginalized..

Good morning Buff,

I have a question...

" It's the other party that has publicly stated their need to re-brand and provide outreach to the numerous groups they've marginalized.. "

Specifically, what "groups" have we "re-branded" and "marginalized?"

Buff, Since when does being in the majority make you right? I would say that you only believe that when the majority agrees with you. Majority opinion is a weak argument, but I suppose that it's all you have since you use it so often.

Erik’s correct, PC takes the place of a defendable set of values for those that support it.

PC is an attempt to disrupt tradition. Some disruption of tradition is good, i.e. women being able to vote. Too much disruption at one time can confuse people causing angst and, in some cases, fear in the society.

"Hi Erik.. I hope you don't take this personally but, as usual, you are incorrect. Liberals won the recent election, quite handily, providing all the validation to our beliefs that is required."

Of the 69 million votes Dumbama got, at least 47 million votes came from the gimmee, gimmee, gimmee crowd! The rest of the votes came from people suffering the dreadful disease of liberalism.

You call that validation? I'd be ashamed to admit it.

Question for all those on the Left who believe in this PC crap - why are the groups of people that the PC crowd demands that we defer to never concerned with how much that forced deference offends us? That was what I meant by saying that PC only goes in one direction.

"So you favor the straitjacket of conservatism. "

Chuck,

You mean the strait jacket of decency, self respect, honor for country, financial responsibility, responsibility of your own actions?

Is that the straight jacket you speak of?

How can anyone list values that are non-existent?

Feelings aren’t values.

Chuck - Liberalism is the group with the straight jackets. Look at how conservative minorities are treated by Liberals for daring to stray off the plantation. Remember how Gov. Bob Casey was treated because he opposed abortion? He was stopped from addressing your convention because of that. Sounds like you have to toe the line (or keep that straight jacket on) to stay in the Liberal club. Conservatives believe in equal opportunity for all and welcome people from all walks of life who value freedom and liberty. Where do straight jackets figure in that conservative belief?
