May 13, 2013

Most of your readers need to be reminded of the First Amendment, specifically the clause that mandates separation of church and state. Not everyone in this country is Christian....

Jerry,

I'm not a mean or cruel person. IMO, I want to see souls won and no one, I mean no one my path crosses going to h e l l for an eternity. I see the cliff, and many are ready to run off it. What kind of a person would let someone intentionally go over a cliff? If, there is no h e l l, then I am none the worse for the wear. He (my firm foundation) ultimately will side on His desires, not mine, nor another person's, nor my govt. And, I make no apology! Mark your calendar! Your approach was a nice one and kudos to you! :)

I asked someone to explain a statement they made. I did not make an argument, rhetorical or otherwise. .

Children do not have rights like adults, legally thay are not capable of determining their own destiny.

It should be noted that under the 'liberal' courts children were recognize to have 'rights' under the law and Constitution under the 'conservative' courts not so much.

"How can abortion violate the rights of the "child" being born?"

Do you realize what you just asked?

Your post perhaps says it all with respect to assuaging the conscience.

"How again did 'letting them die' help the President get reelected?"

Another inconvenient truth, Jerry!

His letting them die didn't even scratch the surface before the election. People get scared, you know when ruffling the feathers of as your liberal friends would say, of the "most powerful person in the world." The truth for this will never come out. Your argument holds no substance other than rhetorical commentary.

At conception, the genetic pattern is there and a new human is under construction. All the information and life are there, all that's necessary is time. Humans are not fully viable until they've spent at least ten years outside the womb, and even then they're not fully ready to completely care for themselves. So, to take the pro-abortion people's desires to the extreme, they believe that it's alright to murder children up to about ten years of age, since they're not fully 'viable' as yet. What conclusions might be drawn on their opinion of the elderly or disabled, who need care from others in order to survive? Apparently they're a very cold bunch!

USABorn, Likewise the thoughts have crossed my mind. Regardless, the God of this universe has enough love and mercy to forgive, to heal the pain, to erase the guilt, and restore the relationship with Him, for those that confess and repent. God's word says that he will save those that perish before the age of accountability so they will experience a life in heaven. It would be wonderful if both the mother and father would make sure that they also have a relationship with Jesus Christ so they could be united with him/her.

MelissaBrown-"How can abortion violate the rights of the "child" being born? A bunch of cells isn't a person and doesn't have any rights."

You are certainly entitled to that opinion, however I beg to disagree. By week 8 they are no longer 'a bunch of cells'. Organs have formed at around week 5 along with a heartbeat, followed by facial features at week 6 and by week 8 arms and legs have formed. And this is all while they are still considered an 'Embryo'. At week 10 they are past the Embryo stage and are now considered a fetus and at 11 weeks are pretty much fully formed, and we are still in the first trimester. So, if it makes you feel better to consider a baby being aborted 'a bunch of cells', that is your right and I hope it makes you feel better about it. However I disagree and consider it a human who has the same right to life as you or I.

From her comments, I wonder if MelissaBrown's vehement defense of aborting viable BABIES is to assuage her conscience?

As a mother, I simply cannot understand a woman desiring to kill her child.

If I knew I was going to give birth to a child that could live only a matter of hours or days, and would be in the most horrendous pain, and there was absolutely nothing that could be done for it, I would have to have the baby and make sure it was anesthetized against the pain until God came for it.

If I were pregnant due to rape, I would still give birth, beause that rape was not the fault of the child. If one can't live with that, then the baby should be given up for adoption, not murdered.

I have had tears flowing many times during these LTE debates.....tears for the precious lives taken so easily by abortion. And how a woman can have multiple abortions, goes far beyond comprehension.

I see.

How again did 'letting them die' help the President get reelected? I'm trying real hard to see it as you do and, logically, I'm having a tough time with that one.

I remember it being a tough point in the campaign.

Please correct my recollection.

Jerry:

Benghazi is the result of an illegal war (unlike the nonsense about Bush) and a President so focused on re-election that letting an Ambassador and 3 other citizens die was better than revealing his massive policy failure in the Middle East as well as the gun-running scheme with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Liberals believe you can take a life if it is inconvenient to the "owner".

Since most liberals believe the gov't "owns" all of us, it can eliminate those that are "inconvenient" to the good of society.

That usually means the mentally ill, handicapped and potential subversives.

President Obama demonstrated this by targeting political opponents with the IRS and reporters with wiretapping.

That same IRS will determine if you get healthcare or if you are too expensive to treat.

Welcome to socialism, comrades!

Which reminds me, you still didn't answer my question from yesterday;

"...but until a fetus can live outside the womb on its own.." - MelissaBrown

So is that around that 24 week range? or is it not until it exits the body in a live state?

So as long as Dr. Gosnell collapsed their skulls and snipped their spines while still in the birth canal, all is still right in the world, huh?

It's all very confusing trying to keep track of who is who and this person is John and now that person isn't John, so from now on I would like everyone to refer to me as "Dragon".

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
