Have you done your environmental impact study on your move yet?

My daughter used the airport today Rick. Where else in America can you sit in a nice rocking chair and wait for your relatives arrival. Not only that, but you can park your car less than 50 feet from the baggage claim area. To coin an old Cajun phrase, We got it good in Williamsport, yah!

Maybe now they can use the Act 13 money for something else, you know, the townships directly affected by the drilling. Close the airport down, we don't need it. Texas, I am sure the environmental studies are more than a few chipmunks. Typical right wing comment.

Totally agree with you texasfrompa, those tree hugging rainbow people are out of hand holding the airport hostage for a million buck. I wonder whose brother runs the company that is going to get the money to write a report saying exactly what you said in a few more words. Just post your address we will mail you $100 for your time and send your comment in for the enviromental study and get this project underway.

Maybe it's the current administrations way of not having to fund the new terminal and leaving it to the next administration to take the heat when they are the ones that announce the project is dead. All the while, somebody is playing around spending the money set aside for this project on other pet projects.

3 and 1/2 year delay. My guess is that someone knows the airport and the project are doomed and this is a way to stop any near term improvements

"Funding now consists of $1 million Act 13 money for the FAA environmental assessment and facility design;"

I am not a fan to spend $13.4 MM to build a new building so maybe the delay is a plus. But being delayed by an environmental study for what? What value does it add except creating a couple of "green" jobs!

You create some air emissions from vehicles and construction equipment during constructions; you put some containment under some diesel tanks so they don't leak and run off into the river; you increase the use of some water and sanitary waste systems during construction; a surge in the number of cigarette butts that go to the trash; add a few trash bins for the increased trash; a few chipmunks come and eat some leftover food from the workers; big deal. What a waste of taxpayers money to do the study!
