I compare President Obama's actions to what the Nazi Party did in Germany all the time. I'll make a deal with you Mike, get the President to quit doing things that look like something a Nazi or Adolph Hilter would do and I'll quit referring to him as either....But in the mean time, I'll be exercising my first amendment right to free speech by calling him out everytime I feel he's acting like a Nazi! BTW Mike, have you had the IRS audit you lately? Feel free to refuse to answer using your fifth amendment right to self incrimination!

" I'll be exercising my first amendment right to free speech by calling him out every time I feel he's acting like a Nazi!" Bravo Tedeaux, I totally agree. Because the Obamatrons are mindless imbeciles that cannot think for themselves they are following dear leader uninhibited and have become the "useful idiots".

I agree Tedeaux. You should do this all over the place. In the newspaper, in the streets, all over the place. Particularly as the next election draws near. Always remember to identify yourself as a member of the Republican party USA when you do it.

In fact, if you'd like to get a tattoo on your cheek of the President with a Hitler moustache, I'd even kick in the first $20, as long as it says, "Sponsored by the Republican Party" in visible text around it.

That would be cool, huh?

BUUUUUUUTTTTTTT, it was ok to call Bush Hitler and to compare him to Hitler. It is ok to call past conservative presidents Hitler and to compare them to Hitler. It is ok to call conservative pols Hitler and to compare them to Hitler. Is there a double standard here?

I compare Obama to many different socialist dictators throughout history, not just the one named Hitler.

The reason some of us use NAZIs and Hitler is in a vain attempt to educate liberals that NAZIs are not right-wingers, but liberals without any restraint.

erik, I have said for years that Nazis really are liberals gone to extreme. They want a strong central govt, they want a controlling central govt, they want to limit freedom, they want to use govt as a force to bludgeon those who would succeed, they want the govt to take over industry they deem essential to the state, they lie to the people about the need for more intrusion into their private lives in order to gain acceptance, they want to confiscate the fruits of the worker's labor in order to finance their govt expansion dreams. No, conservatives are not Nazis, if anything it is the liberal who aspires to Nazism.

The author makes a good point. Hyperbole is the refuge of those who choose the easy way to garner support for their particular point of view. It is cheap, shallow, and depressingly effective.

Apparently no one here is well versed on the topic of Hitler or Nazi Germany. If Obama = Hitler you would all be in a science lab and sterilized.

This goes to show that conservstives do not know what Nazism is let alone liberlism. All they are is very ignorant.

Great point Ted.

I will offer a counter proposal. I will stop comparing Obama to Hitler when you Lefties stop telling your mindless zombie followers that Hitler (and Stalin, and Mussolini, etc.) are right wing. You know darn well that nothing about dictatorship is right-wing.

First off, we all see what we want to see, but truthfully, I really don't recall people comparing Pres. Bush to Hitler. If they did, I too would suggest they try to put a little intelligent thought into their arguments. Second, I just have to say, when someone uses phrases like "mindless imbeciles" and "useful idiots" to describe people they disagree with, I have to wonder if they are posting from the second grade play ground. We have been blessed to live in a country that allows us free speech, but ask your self this, would Jefferson had used these phrases?

Present day progressives are working toward an autocratic government. It makes little difference which historical dictatorship they are compared to, it’s simply a matter of degree and how far we’ve moved in that direction.

Leftists are pro-socialism, correct? The term 'Nazi" is from the German term 'Nationalsozialismus', which translates into English as 'National socialism'. The party's official name is, "Natgionalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei", abbreviated as NSDAP or, translated to English, "National Socialistic German Workers Party". Herein we see the huge lie leftists in this country claim: that somehow, Nazism is not a leftwing ideology. Fascism is a leftwing ideology. Certainly the leaders of the fascists and national socialists will oppose any sitting dictator, but not because they are of differing ideologies, but rather because the sitting dictator has the power that the opposition 'wannabe dictator' craves.

The opposition of one dictator is based on either fear that 'the other will take my power' or the desire to forcibly take the power of the other, depending on which is the initial aggressor.

Who was "audited" by the IRS? I haven't heard of that happening since the Nixon administration.

And where do you stand on my offer for the Oba-Hitler face tattoo? That would be awesome.

Yeah, and Blues Traveller has blues in their name, but not in their music, and the Republican Congress during the Bush administration rolled back air quality standards with a law called "the Clear Skies Initiative". So what's your point?

Are you claiming that politicians (and others) never intentionally misname something to appeal to a demographic that they wouldn't otherwise? That's brilliant! Someone give Wayne a cookie and a juice box.
