Maybe I should explain about Title I....the parents in the 'valley' make too much $$$$$ to qualify for Title I programs. That...I'm sure...is the problem in a nutshell....too good for the common folk!

I think it is pathetic that "valley" people have been fighting to keep the Nippenose Elementary School open for years because they don't want their children to associate with the children that attend JSE. What is the big deal? Their kids will have to anyways when they go to middle school. The tax payers of Jersey Shore should not have to pay to keep a few minority tax payers happy. Maybe the "Valley" people should consider sending their children to private schools and give everyone else a break.

Carebear, could you please explain what Title1 is and why Nippenose Elementary School does not qualify for a district parental involvement policy?

"Good thing this wasn't a test, Carebear would have failed."

Good thing this wasn't a test, chelly would have failed. The statement was "there shouldn't be any children in the building during the renovations and and construction". Before commenting have the facts.

So it is fine that our Jersey Shore kids be at the school while asbestos is being removed, but don't put the precious****kids there? I wonder if the people fighting to keep this school open think about their words before speaking. I used to be all about keeping the small schools open, but it has become a battle of elitist who think they are too good to go to JSE.
