Amusing

June 6, 2013

In reference to Mr. Reeder's "more whine" article. I have read with amusement your many rants and diatribes of how and why the conservatives" aka Tea Party" are the main problem with society today....

Great Bobbie. Want to meet at Starbucks at the Williamsport Hospital? I'm not available Monday evenings or FRi. Sat. and Sun. evening. How is your schedule on a weeknight? I suggested this Starbucks because some folks don't like downtown. Maybe we should make a larger Meet and Greet for more of us after we get together. I bet we would like each other a lot more if we met and talked beyond cold responses.

"19/5 "Hi spike.. please let me know if you and Bobbie need an impartial referee.. "

Who would that be?"

++

Maybe Phil could do it. Phil, do you still have access to the McDonald's in Hughesville?

Or we could get Relene to have it at her church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, at corner of Maynard and 3rd, in Williamsport. Her pastor could be the referee.

Maybe it can be podcast or put on Utube?

Thanks Buff. I accept your offer to be referee. I think I suggested a bunch of us actually meet somewhere in the past and Bobbie doesn't come into Williamsport. Bobbie, am I correct or was that someone else?

Ritty, try using dried minced onions, they absorb much of the fluid and smell and taste great.

I make pretty good beef stew from leftover pot roast. It is with very rich thick gravy.

Ritty......

You used a raw hamburger/onion mix in your peppers? No wonder they were watery. Also, using freshly de-thawed hamburger and onion mix will make them even more watery.

Go back and read the instructions I gave you, and you will have perfet peppers every time.

My main concern is that it will be too loose, like soup. I want it to be thick, with a gravy-like broth, such that it might be served over a bed of noodles.

Buff, Obama has been President for over four years now. Even if the program did start under Bush (and I'm not doubting that) after four years, it is still going on. That means that Obama has continued it and it is now his fault. Parts of the Patriot Act were tyrannical and rather than allow it to expire, the Obama administration has extended and expanded it. All of the spying on the public now is Obama's fault. You can't defend it by saying that Bush started it when you complained about it then. How is it that you approve of it when Obama does it, but not when Bush did it? As I've said before, Bush was not a conservative. He was a big government guy, just not quite as big as Obama. Big government and freedom cannot co-exist.

Ritty you need to use at least 90% and yes add lots of spice to the meat. I would suggest lots of garlic and Adobo all purpose seasoning. I also add grated cheese to my meat.

Had my stuffed peppers tonight. I filled them raw except I used cooked rice.

Two problems: First, they were full of liquid. When they were cut open, all this water poured out. Second, they had very little flavor; very bland.

Maybe I should brown the beef and onions on the stove top so as to caramelize the onions and get that flavor. Also I will use some garlic. Or maybe I just need more spices in the raw mixture.

Next experiment: Beef stew.
