As a business person I tend to focus upon the bottom line. How effective is the Visitors Bureau? By a wide margin Lycoming County draws more economic benefit than does its 12 other peer counties in the PA Wilds territory. Tourism related job numbers are second only to our county’s largest employer. What happens when the known effective use of hotel tourism tax is compromised by dilution and diversion? Doesn’t it typically end up being Government wasteful spending? Who can quantify that the Lycoming Visitors Bureau is “wasting taxpayer money”? I am uncomfortable when people attack this program and our community. What is the motive?
