"Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.

Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.

Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons."

President Bill Clinton's opening remarks in his speech regarding "Operation Desert Fox, Dec. 16,1998.

those who hold grudges and hated Bush constantly brought up eaves droping, drone strikes, military deaths, Gov over reach, but now many of those same people find reasons to justify what their party railed against during the election. Imagine the outrage if Bush was preciding over Bengazi, IRS, Fast and Furious? Imagine if his Attorney General gave misleading or false statements? Imagine if he bailed out big business or funded start ups that failed one after another?

Bush went to war because of the wmds. We didn't find any. Trillions in debt. Four thousand Americans dead. Perhaps 1 million dead Iraqis. There's some verifiable truths for you, nobud, however inconvenient they might be. Oh, one more.. we did not find any wmds.

"Following the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, the new president sent stringent anti-terrorism legislation to Congress as part of his first crime bill, including new deportation powers and a federal death penalty for terrorists. The passage of portions of that legislation many months later was the last time he would enjoy real cooperation against terrorism from congressional conservatives. When he sought to expand those protections in 1995 after the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City, he was frustrated by a coalition of civil libertarians and anti-government conservatives, who argued that his “overreaction” posed a threat to constitutional rights.

No anti-terrorism legislation reached Clinton’s desk until more than a year later."

Buff, the intelligence communities from nearly every nation said the WMDs were there and since that nut job had no problem using them before, it was likely he would again. Add to that Clinton said just a few years prior that they were there it is amazing to me that everyone wants to crucify Bush and give Bill and Barry a pass.

"I would like to know what would have happened if 9/11 hppened on Obama's watch."

The name of the person who ran against GWB was in fact Al Gore. You guys can't even get the names straight in your hypothetical.

Seeing how they are two differnet people who would have completely different people to help run the government it would have been different. But we will never know because the people, the Electorial College and the Court put Bush in as President.

They are giving Barry a pass? GOP is still trying to nail Benghazi on him. What do you mean a pass.

A criticism (one of many) of Clinton's operation was that it was to distract attention away from Lewinsky investigation.

why not investigate, if something needs so, and do it on its own merits? Seems its always related to what happened on anothers watch.

You are going to compare what Clinton did to what Bush did.

The operation lasted 70 hours, cost way less money, can not find a list of American causalities, Irag really did refuse UN inspectors at that time. The goal of the mission was to destroy any capabilities or future capablilities for weapons.

After Bush invaded Irag it shows that Clinton's operation had worked. All Bush did was depose Irag of Hussien, it cost us more in money, lives and time.

Hi nobud.. your response is misleading. Many intelligence agencies and many individuals in our own intelligence communities expressed doubt and outright disbelief at the claims the bush administration was making. But, don't take my word for it. Read the book hubris and learn the names of these intelligence officials. Read their words as to the deception that was being perpetrated. Oh, and by the way.. we did not find any wmds.

But even with what I have posted, I strongly believe that to charge and Investigate Bush is pointless and stupid.

All you have to do is watch the GOP clowns and there ceaseless attacks on every move Obama makes. Let's face it the Democrats are far better at handling things in DC than any GOP politician.

Hi Gavin.. that's not necessarily the point. It's well documented that Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds. The bill of goods the world was sold is that Iraq directly supported the 9/11 terrorists and that a mushroom cloud over NY was inevitable if we did not invade Iraq. Neither was true.. we found no nuclear program. By that logic, we would have invaded Iran long ago..

Iraq had WMD's, that is a fact. They used them on their own people, that is a fact. Where did they go?

Gee maybe they shipped them to other countries just like when Saddam sent almost his entire remaining Air Force to Iran for safety during the Gulf War, which is a fact.
