That used to be known as the Greyhound Bus Station, and Greyhound buses came and went continuously.

Remember the Greyhound dogs galloping down the sides of the buses?

When I was a little girl back in the 40's, my mom and I would get on the bus in Muncy and "travel" to Wmspt to shop at L L Sterns, the Carroll House, Worths, and the three Five and Dime stores! Loved going in the the latter 3 stores best....with the smells of popcorn and chocolate candies, the lunch counters, and the pneumatic money tubes pinging away...such memories. And there was always a lot of shoppers.

We would end our day by having a lunch at the Greyhound lunch counter, staffed with delightful people, and pretty good lunches, awaiting our "trip" home.

When we were (pre-teen) kids, in the early-'60s, we'd catch the city-bus (in DuBoistown...we went NUTZ when the price of a ride went-up to 15-cents), and go to a movie. After getting outta the theater, we'd go (up) to Sterns' pet-department and make the parrot SCREAM...until they threw-us-out.
