Is that what you call a rebuttal, chuckles?

"The post-modern Left has replaced reality with narrative and they no longer try to hide it. Narrative isn't about reality, which they deny anyway, narrative is what you want to believe and can try and convince others to believe." - Phil Underwood

Seriously...this is your best-effort to deflect from T-Baggers' preference for conspiracies (over Reality)?

Weak.

As long as you have the majority of the media giving free passes and limiting coverage of important issues when it effects the current administration, you will never convince those that support them that anything is amiss. If this was a republican administration the media would be wall over these "scandals" and demanding answers. It's just sad that so many people can't reason and think for themselves and soak up every word as gospel. And please Shaman, leave your axis of evil out of this. The left has a monopoly over the main stream media and a much greater influence over those that believe everything they hear, or don't hear.

"A good example is the claim the IRS scandal was limited to the Cincinnati office and one person there, who claims to be a Republican, says the white House had nothing to do with it."

Mr. Reeder, Mr. Underwood has the reality on this issue, and you clearly do not." - Francine

Speaking of chuckles, I almost spit out my coffee reading about the misdirection of the "post-modern left" and related comments when far too many neo-cons and other right wingers get the information on which they base their opinions and votes from propaganda disguising itself as real news.

As a leftie, I was a regular listener and caller to Hannity and O'Reilly until they both went so far over the top that they became laughable characatures of themselves. Talk about misdirection... it has become a marketable art form.

I totally agree that the right is also guilty of regurgitating what they here from right leaning media. But the fact of the matter is, the majority of the media leans left and has a greater influence in my opinion. One good example that I personally despise is the fact that this administration is getting a free pass for all our young men and women that are getting killed and injured in Afghanistan. During the last administration you had constant coverage and it was front page news. Now its barely a blip on the radar.

It is the left's hypocrisy.

Obama continues the Bush wars, drones, GITMO, surveillance and expands those to American citizens, including asserting the right to kill citizens via drone........

....and the left is virtually silent.

Under Bush, these same programs were attacked, feared and "impeachable" offenses.

In fact, they were attacked and criticized by this very president when he was a candidate!

But, because it is another liberal doing this, it is OK.

Liberal hypocrisy on display, folks!

Postmodern Left and libertarians have commonality in that they both have subjective values based on their personal experiences and knowledge instead of absolute standards that adhere to the moral law implanted in their being by the Creator, ie they want to redefine morality.

They adhere to only naturalism and diss miracles and the supernatural. They will invent and gravitate to hypotheses of existence that do not involve God.

So both Postmodern Left and libertarians follow a narrative that says "God is dead".

The Teavangelicals gravitate more towards the libertarians in that they advocate more liberties, smaller government, and less taxation.

The Companionate Christians gravitate more towards the Left in that they want to help the poor, the oppressed, the sick, and disadvantaged.

The clueless right is at it again. They only want their narrative spoken and they don't want to use a full deck of cards to build their case.

Phil as per usual only wants to blame the lack luster investigation on liberls when it is the GOP/Tea Party who can not get it togehter. Their investigation has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese.

The Postmodern Christian and the liberal Christians have bought into the subjective morality that varies from the morality programmed into us by the Creator. They have both into the principles espoused by the Secular Humanist. They worship the creation instead of the Creator. They buy into the social solutions and man-made philosophies that are contrary to biblical teachings. They become as the world and lose their "saltiness" and their "light". Eventually one would ask the questions, are they a Christian or what does it mean to be a Christian?

"Of course, the right has some completely one sided pundits as well, just not nearly as many. One of the rights biggest pundits is also a complete fraud: Michael Savage. Real name: Michael Weiner from the Bronx. Personal friends with Abby Hoffman, and a Berkley based San Francisco area Marxist activist and atheist right up until the 1990's when he started in radio." - Francine

Try to catch-up, Francie. Abbie Hoffman's been dead, since 1989.

The ultra-conservative, fundamentalist Christians would advocate a Christian theocracy that establishes the church as an integral part of our government that all would worship in and would allegedly pave the way for the second coming and the return of Christ. But this leads to a rules-based system of government that looks more at behaviors and actions instead of the true condition of the heart. Right actions or obedience with the wrong motivations can be good but what is better is doing things out of love and a desire to help instead of just looking-good. This theocracy can be a system that lacks in love and compassion for their fellow man and a deep relationship and fellowship with God. People would say they are Christian because they "follow the system and traditions" but this system may not necessarily be the path to eternal life with Christ. They must be reborn again, there needs to be a true repentance to sin and a following of Christ. God is the absolute.

Tex, post-moderns distrust or deny objective reality, while libertarians and other moderns use objective reality and science to establish their view of the world, so they have little in common in this respect. Pre-modern’s world-view is established by writings believed to be sacred.
